How many mobile phones allowed in a flight?

I have 3 Apple Iphone 7 plus and 1 samsung j7 and 1 Samsung tab. Please tell me if I can carry all of them with me as 1 is office phone and I use other 3 for personal use and Tab for entertainment. I am flying from Singapore to Delhi in Air India. Can someone tell me if it will be allowed with any fine on plane .?

Why would the airline even know how many phones you had?

I have to put them in a tray I believe while going through security. So they might stope me .. Or they will allow me without any charge or questions?

The airline will not have people looking at what you put in a tray at security.

But a great number of phones might attract questions from Airport Security. A friend of mine got questioned last year at Glasgow Airport when flying to Campbeltown (he was flying with 6 phones). It might have increased their suspicion that he was travelling without much in the way luggage (checked luggage was still in Amsterdam) - https://www.dagbladet.no/nyheter/forst-mistet-konjakk-kongen-jon-bertelsen-flybagasjen-sa-tok-politiet-ham-for-a-vaere-terrorist/67639171

How would the airline know what you put in the tray at security, for checking by airport security staff?! These controls are not carried out by the airline, and they apply in the same way irrespective of which airline passengers will be using.

While it seems a bit ridiculous to me to carry around (anywhere) 4 phones and a tablet, if you insist on travelling with these, then they actually HAVE to go in your hand-luggage, as most (if not all) airlines DO ban items containing lithium-ion batteries from being packed in checked baggage. Therefore, there is no problem with airport security, because IF you have these items, they SHOULD be in your hand-luggage, and going in the cabin with you, not in the hold.

If you did have a problem at security, e.g. if you had a pen-knife or excess liquids, you wouldn't get fined: the prohibited item(s) would be confiscated.

With that many phones, you should sell some of them when you get home.

Maybe check the Customs requirements for the country, that you are importing these?

Good luck,
