Linda Spurrier (born 1947 in Sittingbourne, Kent) appeared on Coronation Street in May 2005 as Jill, a woman that Norris Cole met briefly on a speed dating session at the Weatherfield Arms.
She has built up a long list of television credits since the late 1970s with parts in The Professionals, Ruth Rendell Mysteries, Birds of a Feather, Poirot, Holby City and Doctors.
Among her big screen performances are parts in two Oscar-nominated films; Tom and Viv and Hilary and Jackie. She also played roles in the Derek Jarman films Jubilee and War Requiem. On stage, she has appeared in Measure for Measure and the Alan Ayckbourn play A Small Family Business.
