Steve D The script isn't great but the story is fun. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/03/23 Full Review kevin w Uneven, disjointed, poorly plotted, poorly written, sloppily executed, whatever happens onscreen is merely an exercise in putting the butts in seats and that's it. Gable schmoozes through the film without outright snickering at it (and there might be acting cred for that small thing) and the ending is foregone at the opening credits. Only Jo Van Fleet's performance registers at all, and she does manage to bring the goods. Is the rest of the film even a Western? It says that it is but any location or scene change and it would still play the same. Regrettably. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Ho-hum western with an obvious ending. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A bit melo-dramatic for a western. Clark Gable romancing the ladies primarily. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Light-hearted mix of the Western, mystery, comedy and romance. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review max b As formulaic as its script may be, Walsh's direction and Gable's charisma buoy the film enough to make it an enjoyable experience.
