Keenen Ivory Wayans

The eldest of the Wayans brothers, Keenen created the show with his brother Damon and, by proxy, a comedic vehicle for some pretty well-known A-listers!

Since the show — for which Keenen took home an Emmy in 1990 — he has been successful both behind the camera as a writer and director, was a talk show host for a short time and was a judge on Last Comic Standing in 2014.

Keenen has five children who he shares with ex-wife Daphne Wayans.

Damon Wayans Sr.

Along with his brothers, Damon managed to create some particularly hilarious and memorable sketches and characters on In Living Color, like Homey the Clown and the Head Detective.

The comedian has continued to make audiences laugh, whether it be while doing stand-up comedy or on shows like My Wife and Kids (2001–2005). He starred on the series Lethal Weapon as Roger Murtaugh, from 2016 to 2019.

Damon has four kids with his ex-wife, Lisa Thorner: Damon Jr., Michael, Cara Mia and Kyla.

Shawn Wayans

Since appearing alongside his family on In Living Color for the first four seasons, Shawn has continued to collaborate with his famously funny family. He acted alongside his brother Marlon on the TV series The Wayans Bros. from 1995 to 1999 and in movies like Scary Movie 2 (2001) and White Chicks (2004).

Shawn is also a proud father of three kids, who he shares with his ex-wife, Ursula Alberto.

Marlon Wayans

Marlon Wayans also appeared on the show, and has continued to flex his comedy skills since.

Often working alongside his brother, Shawn, Marlon went on to star on The Wayans Bros., Waynehead and his aptly titled shows, Marlon and Oh Hell No! With Marlon Wayans. He's also had some big-screen roles in films like White Chicks, Norbit (2007), Respect (2021) and The Curse of Bridge Hollow (2022).

Marlon dated Angela Zackery from 1992 to 2013. The ex-couple share two children, Amai and Shawn.

Kim Wayans

The whole Wayans family (well, not all of them, but close!) got in on the action with In Living Color. Kim was as skilled in impressions as playing original characters.

Since her time on the show, she has continued to act — she guest-starred on Boomerang and returned to sketch comedy for a 2021 episode of A Black Lady Sketch Show — and is an author of a children's book series, Amy Hodgepodge.

Kim has also been married to husband Kevin Knotts for over two decades.

Jennifer Lopez

Before she became the superstar we know and love, the multi-talented Lopez was a Fly Girl on the show from 1991 to 1993.

She followed up her time on In Living Color by starring as Selena Quintanilla in the 1997 biopic about her life, catapulting her into the limelight. Lopez continues to act, starring alongside Owen Wilson in the 2022 film Marry Me. She has also starred in movies including Maid in Manhattan (2002), Monster-in-Law (2005) and Hustlers (2019), and on TV shows like Shades of Blue.

After ending her engagement with New York Yankee's baseball player Alex Rodriguez in 2021, Lopez gave her early-2000s romance with Ben Affleck a second chance. The couple got married in Las Vegas in July 2022. "All your dreams are coming true, it's just been a phenomenal year," Lopez said of her marriage.

David Alan Grier

An original cast member on In Living Color, Grier's most recent credits include on the series The Carmichael Show, Dad Stop Embarrassing Me! (alongside former costar Jamie Foxx), Joe Pickett and The Patient.

When he's not appearing on shows or in films like The Big Sick (2017) or the movie musical version of The Color Purple (2023), Grier is working on the stage. The performer earned his first Tony Award in 2021 for his role in A Soldier's Play.

Grier has one daughter, Luisa, from his second marriage with art curator Christine Y. Kim.

Jim Carrey

It's nearly impossible not to recognize Carrey now, but back in 1990, he was just getting his start as a comedian on In Living Color.

Since then, Carrey has starred in movies like Dumb and Dumber (1994), The Mask (1994) and Bruce Almighty (2003), and has earned Golden Globes for his work in The Truman Show (1998) and Man on the Moon (1999).

Carrey also starred on the Showtime series Kidding and appeared in the 2020 live-action Sonic the Hedgehog and its 2022 sequel. He also made a few appearances on Saturday Night Live in 2020, portraying President Joe Biden. In March 2022, he said he'd be retiring from acting.

Jamie Foxx

Another A-Lister to parlay his career on In Living Color into a successful career, Foxx won an Academy Award and Golden Globe in 2005 for his performance as Ray Charles in Ray, and has been nominated for 10 Grammys in his career, taking home one.

He hosts Beat Shazam and plays Electro in several Marvel films. Foxx also starred on the one-season Netflix series, Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!, which is based off of some of the real-life scenarios that his daughter, Corinne Foxx, wrote in her diary. His In Living Color costar, David Alan Grier, plays his father on the show.

In 2021, Foxx released his memoir Act Like You Got Some Sense: And Other Things My Daughters Taught Me, which discusses his family life with two daughters, Corinne and Annalise, who he shares with two different women.

Steve Park

The actor made his debut on the show in its third season in 1991. A few years later, Park would act in the 1996 Academy Award-winning film Fargo as Mike Yanagita.

Since then, he has acted in movies like Snowpiercer (2013) and on the television shows The Mindy Project, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Warrior and more. He also appeared in Wes Anderson's 2021 film, The French Dispatch, and is set to be in his 2023 film, Asteroid City.

Park has been married to his In Living Color costar, Kelly Coffield, since 1999. Together, they have a son, Owen, and a daughter, Eliza.

Kelly Coffield Park

One of the show's original cast members, Coffield Park has appeared on shows like The Young and the Restless, Law & Order and How to Get Away with Murder. She also appeared on Showtime's Kidding with Jim Carrey.

The show didn't just serve a Coffield Park's big break, it also introduced her to her husband, Steve Park.

T'Keyah Crystal Keymáh

Keymáh acted on the sketch comedy show for all of its five seasons, following it up with a stint on Cosby from 1996 to 2001.

You may also recognize her from the Disney Channel show, That's So Raven, on which she played Raven Symoné's mom (she reprised her role as Tanya on the show's spin-off, Raven's Home, in 2022). Keymáh has continued to work through the years, appearing on Showtime's Kidding and hosting her online sketch variety series, The Cool Crystal Show.

Kim Coles

Coles was a stand-up comedian at the time, and In Living Color was her big break. She was part of its original cast, though she was not invited back after the show's first season.

Not to worry, she went on to find success on shows like Living Single, The Geena Davis Show, One on One and more. Her latest film credits are from 2019's Love Is Not Enough and 2021's A Jenkins Family Christmas.

Coles has been married twice. However, the actress has been in a relationship with Dr. E. Jaye Johnson since 2020.

Carrie Ann Inaba

Inaba appeared on the show as one of the Fly Girls from 1990 to 1992.

Since then, she has made herself a household name from working as a judge on Dancing with the Stars since 2005 and one of the hosts on The Talk from 2019 to 2021.

Ali Wentworth

Wentworth joined the show in its fifth and final season, following up her time on the sketch comedy show with appearances in movies like Jerry Maguire (1996) and Office Space (1999).

She also acted on TV series like Head Case and Search Party, created and starred on Nightcap — a series that premiered in 2016 and lasted two seasons — and hosts the ABC reality series The Parent Test.

On top of being an actress, Wentworth has also written several books. She's also been married to Good Morning America coanchor George Stephanopoulos since 2001. The couple has two daughters, Elliott and Harper.

Tommy Davidson

The stand-up comedian was known for his ability to do impressions of stars like Michael Jackson and Sammy Davis Jr. on In Living Color.

After his time on the show, he continued his stand-up career, acted on TV shows like Malcolm & Eddie, Between Brothers and The Bernie Mac Show, and voiced Oscar Proud for four years on Disney Channel's The Proud Family and its 2022 revival.

In 2020, Davidson released a memoir, Living in Color: What's Funny About Me, that discussed his time on the sketch comedy show and the fame that came from it.
