- CmfairygodmotherMilford, CT2 contributionsWe have been attending the Downtown Cabaret theater for 40 years. In fact I met my husband on stage there! It is a wonderful charming venue that puts on professional shows. Go!! You will not regret it. Bring your food and your drinks and make a party out of it with friends!Written September 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sabba17Bridgeport, CT12 contributionsRelatively long (about 4 miles long) waterside paved walk. About half of it borders a beach and teh other half a stone breakwater. There are about 6 or 8 very interesting statues that are worth a look. One is of P.T. Barnum who was the mayor when the park was established.Written March 1, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KGill402 contributionsThe owner made the experience great! He was very knowledgeable and comes up with very interesting drinks rather than just tasting spirits alone. I highly recommend this experience, and the award winning spirits!Written March 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andres72423Bridgeport, CT4,764 contributionsA beautiful park where you can walk, run or bike by the sea. They have plenty of benches to sit and have a bite to eat or just look at the water. Some folks actually fish right of the sidewalk. It is very peaceful and quiet, essentially a neighborhood park. Usually on the weekend of the 4th of July you can also see the fireworks.Written July 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - adventixBoston, MA1,902 contributionsA comfortable way to get from Boston to Long Island without passing Manhattan. The ride is about one hour and 15 minutes long. If you go with your car you need to arrive 15-30 minute before departure. I recommend to reserve tickets ahead of time as the ferry tend to be full (especially during peak hours) Food available on board. However beware: Restrooms are not clean and no changing table for babies (man or woman restrooms).Written December 2, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gene R JSilver Spring, MD9,845 contributionsWe stopped to see this beautiful building completed in 1893 by Barnum, called The Barnum Museum Institute of Science and History. It was closed for renovations after storm damage in 2010-2012 but we found the door agar and were permitted a sneak peak. The museum now is about the life of P. T. Barnum, who lived here, was the mayor of Bridgeport in 1857 and where he built his “Iranistan” mansion. Inside was a nice model of the big circus tent, his bust and several large elephant photos.

I used to visit this place when it was a baseball park, but as a music venue, it is really amazing. The stage, the sound the seats; all top notch! Bridgeport knocked it out the park! The music acts which have come so far, are really top notch. This has become a true shining piece of Bridgeport.Written August 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
