You took our favorite appetizer off the menu and gave it to your sister restaurant next door? I’m not the only one unhappy ! That’s a Common negative about Nicks now! Why would you do that? That was one of the best things on your menu!

By far the best dining experience in a very long time. Greeted by a delightful hostess. Sat at a wonderful booth. Our fabulous server Janelle made the evening. Stayed on top of everything the whole night, and made sure things were done properly. A really fun personality, and a joy to converse with. Ordered the halibut special. OMG, the best fish ever. Enjoyed everything about it. Can’t wait to go back!!

Our table was surrounded by people with screaming little kids, which made for a not so nice experience, waitress is a low talker and even though she was literally next to me I couldn’t hear anything she said. Food was great as always though so maybe next time we won’t be there when romper room let’s out…

Just WOW. We celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary here last night with a dinner for 2. I researched a ton of restaurants before choosing Nicks for our special evening. They did not disappoint in the slightest. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and then the manager, Anthony, came out to personally welcome us and seat us at our table. Luckily, it wasn’t too busy at the time so they were able to accommodate our request for a booth. We had David as our waiter and he was equally kind and attentive. They let us know that my sister had called in and paid for a gift card to treat us for dinner and we are so grateful they allowed her to do that. It made the night all the more special. Not to mention, the staff signed a card for our anniversary. Yes, I cried. lol. It’s so rare to receive that level of service these days, just above and beyond. The food and drinks were PHENOMENAL. We started with the deviled eggs and asparagus fries which were to die for. I had the cucumber Collin’s and berry mojito to drink and they were the best cocktails I’ve had in a long time. For dinner my husband had the filet with a salad and asparagus. He said it was the best steak he’s had in years, done just right. I had the chicken piccata and it was absolutely incredible to the last bite. We couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience and will remember it forever. Thank you to the staff for a job very well done!

Fabulous food( the halibut was outstanding) and the service was excellent. We were greeted nicely and Our server made good suggestions and was very attentive and friendly. I’ll be back again!

My husband ordered a burger medium-medium rare and it was cooked very well done. I ordered salmon;!mserver asked how I wanted it cooked and I requested medium. It was too was overcooked. Why ask if the kitchen doesn’t implement? This isn’t the first time this has happened.

Celebrated a friend’s actual birthday and had a fabulous and friendly male server. Didn’t catch his name. Loved our booth near the kitchen. The asparagus fries and homemade ranch dressing were delicious. Can’t wait to dine at this location again.

We came for my mom’s birthday and the staff made sure to make it special. In addition to excellent food, they made sure to pay her extra attention the whole night (I.e. she was always first to order) and added some nice surprises toward the end of the meal as well. It was a really wonderful way to spend the night with her. We’re really glad we chose Nick’s for this occasion!

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING MEAL !!!! Our server RYAN was top-notch. Even the manager came around to check on diners. Spinach dip and fried asparagus appetizers were fresh and came out quickly. They were heavenly. Sauteed halibut fish was incredibly crunchy on the outside and moist and delicious on the inside. I asked for more of their wine-butter sauce which complimented the dish perfectly. The butter cake (for my husband's birthday) was incredibly moist and succulent. Our new favorite spot.

Nick's is one of my favorite restaurants in all of San Diego. Consistently good quality and service. My Thai chicken salad was SOOO good; my husband felt the same about his chicken (with all the fixin's) dinner -- awesome presentation, too. I was put off by one tiny thing: The still water was warmish and served in very spotted glasses. (I'm almost embarrassed to write this, but thought it noteworthy.)

Fernando and Bryce were excellent servers! The food was delicious! We ordered the rib dinner and macadamia encrusted halibut dinner, with the asparagus appetizer and butter cake dessert. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Seated quickly, the waiter took our orders and food was delicious. Wine a touch overpriced for each glass(es) but Asparagus fries are awesome. Also had extra seat since 2 of the ladys had very expensive purses and it saved them from having to figure out where not to put them (no floor for these purses ;) Over all wonderful and loved the signed staff bday card for our special guest too!

Nick’s never disappoints. We have eaten here many times and have tried many items on the menu. Everything (from cocktails to food) is always perfectly delicious. We had friends visiting from New York and they enjoyed everything we ordered, service and ambiance. This visit we ordered: Deviled eggs, ahi tuna, asparagus fries, Bistro plates, steak sandwich and fried chicken plate.
