FOND DU LAC (WLUK) -- A Fond du Lac man has been charged with child abuse and bail jumping after the alleged victim called 911.

Robert Hall, 31, faces one count of physical abuse of child - intentionally cause bodily harm and five counts of bail jumping. He appeared in court Tuesday, where a $10,000 cash bond was set.

According to the criminal complaint, police were called to an apartment in Fond du Lac around 2 a.m. Monday. An 11-year-old reported Hall was upset that the boy and two younger children were not in bed.

The boy told police Hall bit him and slapped a younger child in the head. The boy also told police Hall was at one point chasing him with a knife.

The complaint does not include a statement from Hall.

If convicted, Hall faces up to six years in prison on the child abuse charge and 18 years and nine months on the bail jumping counts. Those counts stem from separate cases in Brown, Fond du Lac and Winnebago counties, where charges include disorderly conduct while armed, carrying a concealed weapon, false imprisonment and operating while intoxicated.

Hall returns to court June 13.
