What we’re about
Hack Manhattan is a makerspace located on 34 West 37th Street between Herald Square and Bryant Park. We are dedicated to technology, art and craft. Every Tuesday and Thursday we open to the public at 7 PM! Drop by to hang out and chat or work on projects using our equipment. Everyone is encouraged to bring a project to work on! If another day suits you better, even if there isn't a scheduled meetup event, guests are welcome to visit our space and use the facilities whenever a member is present!
We also have classes and other activities, check out list of upcoming events for details.
Most community activity happens on our Discord.

See all- Hole-y Day - Repair Your Clothes With Us!Hack Manhattan, New York, NY
We got a shoutout out on WNYC!
What we bring:
This is a free event meant to provide a support the community by sharing equipment, knowledge and most importantly, fun. We have sewing machines, scrap fabric, thread and needles available to anybody who would like to DIY their clothing repair. What you bring:
Your clothes, blankets, stuffed animals, etc. that need a repair. Or take some scrap fabric and see how far you can go with it!This hangout is designed for people who want to independently learn sewing methods with support, not for people who need a professional tailor. If you have something that is fragile or very sentimental to you, please consider hiring somebody locally to help out. We are just people who would rather patch a pair of pants than buy a new pair because it's more personalized and cost effective. Sometimes a repair works, sometimes it does not, the spirit is in the experimentation and learning.
