As a person who went to Beverly for four years and really loved his experience over there, I feel like I was prepared for college and was guided well by my teachers. Although the school has certain areas to improve upon, I can confidently say that the staff did all they could to provide a positive learning environment. My teachers always did their best for me and challenged me to learn more.
All in all, I took 7 AP classes here and was really impressed by the dedication the school had towards academics, visual arts, and theatre. I also played water polo but our athletics department, especially football, was never excellent. From my perspective, this is truly an exceptional school for students looking to excel in communications, TV, theatre, arts, etc. but may lack progress in other aspects of education.
I cannot say that I particularly hated any specific part of my education here but I think looking back, they could have provided more resources for humanities and language learning.

Beverly Hills High School, despite the expensive area, it a just okay school. A select few teachers genuinely enjoy working with teens, and the rest are there for the great pay. Clubs don't act very personal or connected to their members, even with great opportunities to do so. School spirit is horrible, but this stems from the lack of enthusiasm on both sides. Education is based off favoritism, students who are clearly too advanced for one class will be refused a honors recommendation, while disruptive 'class clowns' sit proudly in an advanced class they're falling behind in. BHUSD in general has been lacking in so many areas, and if I had the choice I would move somewhere in LAUSD.
Not too diverse, as only families who reside in BH are allowed to attend. Culturally very isolated from rest of Los Angeles, excellent academics and teachers, decent sports programs, excellent theatre program.
If you're not Persian, you would probably have a hard time making friends. Diversity is kind of scarce here tbh and there's too many kids per counselor.
Administration seems to have no idea what they're doing half of the time and we have been audited by the State of California more than once in the time that I've been here. However, it feels very safe to go to school here and the actual academics are pretty good.
AP Classes can be extremely demanding! I have attended other high schools in the past but the coursework, stress, and pressure placed on students in advanced courses is outstanding. Even the honors courses are extremely demanding. I have heard of many Honors and AP courses having frequent pop quizzes- specifically AP Psych and Honors Pre Calc. Non honors classes are less likely to have pop quizzes. Highly recommend the duel enrollment program or online AP Classes (both can be taken for a fee). Additionally, the school requires a mandatory Government and Econ class to graduate. If you are a transfer student, highly recommend fulfilling these requirements at your current school or taking the classes online. It will make it easier for you! Don’t be afraid to confide in the college center and your counselor for college apps. School has many nice people although some can be rude (kind of a mixed bag). School has great resources like NormanAid which has free therapy and stress management.
Beverly Hills High School had a strong Vocal Music Program and Theater Department. We were not only taught to find our voice but to find support within one another as we all pushed to create something beautiful with our work ethics and need to grow. I would love to see that move throughout the rest of the school -- strengthen our school spirit and rise together.
great AP teachers and overall high school experience. students get into great schools - ivy leagues and many of the UCs.
Beverly Hills High School is a safe learning environment for all. Exceptional faculty and staff, in accompany with an amazing campus and community, allow for students of all shapes and colors to fit into one big family that maximizes students’s potentials in and out of school.
The school is in a nice area and they do their best to take care of the students. The students aren't the best but the teachers are well educated and do their best to teach.
The school is very run down and half the main building has been under construction for multiple years. The sports are an important part to the high school life at Beverly.
I liked many of the teachers they were very motivated and helped easily transmit concepts. I also liked the system in place for getting necessary books and signing up for new classes
Beverly Hills High School is a very standard one-size-fits all public school environment. On one hand, I have had an incredible time as an athlete and top student. On the other hand however, I have found a considerable lack of attention for the smarter students - particularly the students who are innately intelligent, but require guidance.
For instance, I think that there is room to improve in sectors of providing info for students. Often, a lot is left in the dark and I have really struggled to stay ahead of the game especially in my college search and with questions that I have had about certain schools; I have felt really on my own.
Though, I have had amazing class experiences, meetings with colleges and counselors, and really fun events. Listen, it's high school - it's not perfect but it gets the job done.

Beverly High has great teachers and academics, however there is little to no school spirit and student involvement. Finding the right friend group is key to having an enjoyable experience there.
Overall it is a okay school. But with teachers it is a hit or miss. Most of the AP/honors teachers are much more likeable and care for their students + have a genuine interest in wanting their students to succeed. The athletics are not good. But it’s mainly since the students who participate prioritize school and other things above it, so it isn’t taken seriously. The school isn’t diverse either, most of the students are persian/Jewish and definitely creates the culture at our school. I believe Beverly will prepare you for any college if you take on a sturdy course and use the resources given at school (clubs/electives/college counselor/ teachers/etc)
I like this school! Its super cool and I think that everybody should come here. I like my teachers and the Kids in my class. The sports are cool
Very diverse. Teachers were always supportive ensured we were prepared for college. They offered great opportunities for extra curricular activities and opened our eyes to numerous careers through an elaborate yearly career day. Its a great campus with lots of sports options, and the opportunity to join student council. Theater, music and dance programs were also available to choose from.
