Concord (Calif.) defensive tackle Beaux Tagaloa is sitting on a pair of offers as the Spartans prepare for the postseason.

The 6-0, 275-pounder has been a mainstay for the Spartans and more schools are starting to show interest in him.

"I've been keeping in touch with Portland State, Sacramento State, Fresno State, Colorado is showing a little more interest, Montana, Montana State, Nevada and Rice," said Tagaloa. "It is a lot of Mountain West interest right now."

One school that has also been showing more interest in him is Boise State, and Tagaloa admits that is a school he'd love to hear more and potentially land an offer from.

"I would love to talk more with Boise State and I think that would be a great offer," said Tagaloa. "They have a great football program and a strong educational base and I know they do a great job with their players, so it would be great if they offered."

Tagaloa is relatively familiar with the recruiting process, watching his older brother Boss, now the starting center at UCLA, go through it before signing with the Bruins in 2016.

While UCLA hasn't been in contact with him, he talks constantly with Boss who has offered encouragement and advice throughout the process.

"Boss just says to be patient, not to worry, to focus on De La Salle football and it will all work out," said Tagaloa. "He just says to go to the school that fits you the best and that wants you to develop."

Tagaloa said that he thinks three schools in particular could be among the ones offering next.

"I think Portland State and Northern Arizona are the closest to offering but also think Fresno State could be soon," said Tagaloa.

Hawaii and San Jose State continue to make him a priority and he's planning to visit each of them when the season concludes.

Tagaloa said that Andre Allen, Hawaii's receivers coach and a Bay Area native, is recruiting him for the Warriors while Joe Seumalo, the defensive line coach for San Jose State is recruiting him for the Spartans while Alonzo Carter, who recruits the East Bay for the Spartans, is also talking with him.

"I've taken an unofficial to San Jose State but I'll take my official there after the season," said Tagaloa. "Then I think I'll do Hawaii right after the season too. We don't usually get to take official visits during the season at De La Salle so I'll try to get them both done right after the season ends or right after come back from break."

That has Tagaloa uncertain if he'll sign in December or in February.

"A lot depends on what the other options I have are and if I can wait or if I need to sign early," said Tagaloa.

Tagaloa is a three-star on 247Sports and ranks as the No. 115 defensive tackle nationally in the 2019 class.
