Why Dawn French quit the French and Saunders sketch show
Comedian Dawn French has spoken about the real reason why she decided to stop doing the French and Saunders sketch show in an interview for a new BBC documentary.
A sketch French had performed with her comedy partner, Jennifer Saunders, and the singer Anastacia, had left her feeling humiliated when she dressed up in an outfit to do an impression of the singer.
She says she felt the joke was on her for the first time.
