Jay And The Americans...What's Up With Their Catalog?

    Am I correct that the last new product was the 3 CD Masterworks collection (1997?) and the last SHF thread was 2016?...Anything new forthcoming or recommendations on the old catalog appreciated!

    Although this deals with only a small part of their career, I thoroughly recommend the Jasmine label's "She Cried - The Early Years" from 2016. Some lovely stuff, including rarities such as the Italian language version of She Cried and tracks issued as The Mystics, The Harbor Lites, The Two Chaps and The Empires.

    While I agree that their catalog is a bit all over the place, there have been plenty of releases since 1997.

    Although you already bought it, I shy away from most stuff on Jasmine. They are a public domain label and they use sources from mp3s, other CDs and whatever they can find - with some exceptions.
