Dom Capers

Dom Capers was the Carolina Panthers’ first head coach back in 1995. In 2023, Capers is back in Carolina as a senior defensive assistant. A lot has changed in 28 years, but the 72-year-old Capers is trying to keep his hair the same as it did in 1995.

Capers had his first Panthers press conference on Tuesday after being hired in his new role. Capers showed up with jet black hair, and formed in a way that looks like it would maintain the same shape if it went through a nuclear blast. Nevertheless, Capers is back in Carolina.

This isn’t a new look for Capers. He has tried to keep his hair looking like that for years. But many saw his hairdo for the first time in a long time and they took to Twitter to react. They raised comparisons to Carlos Boozer, Jalen Rose, George Costanza from Seinfeld, and Creed Bratton from The Office.

Whatever someone wants to do with their hair is up to them. It’s honestly not a big deal if the guy wants to have unnaturally dark hair that makes him look like a real-life Lego figure. Hopefully, Capers is doing it because he wants to and not because he thinks he’s fooling anyone into thinking he’s much younger than he is. Because, for one thing, people don’t really care that much how old Dom Capers is. And two, because it’s not really working.
