Best game that is free ,

Why this podcast is so good

I appreciate this podcast for its focus on all of the people who interacted with Napoleon to help him achieve what he did . The podcaster :
- shines a light on what was clearly a group effort and brings these people into the light
- helps us separate the achievements of Napoleon’s supporters from those of Napoleon thereby developing a proper and realistic perspective of the man and the times
- illuminates the political, military, economic, strategic and tactical changes in this amazing Age. The best moments are when these are brought to the human and individual levels
- describes what the supporting cast brought to the effort on their own through their own experiences and why it mattered

More than anything the podcaster brings these people back to life by chronicling and describing from contemporary sources their failures and triumphs in a human and relatable way. For instance, Madam Ney in tears at court and Marshal Ney rising to her defense. The plight of civilians staring down siege and starvation. Individuals making their way after the depredations of the French Revolution and The Terror. And so much more.

Let them speak

Hard at times to listen to.

Would be 5 stars, but the host keeps interrupting with “mmm, right, yeah okay”, interesting, indeed”.

Please let the guests speak without the bass track! Just ask questions!

Thanks!

Great Podcast

Need a new book (in English) on Russian Field Marshall/Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov.

English translation of any of his works?
