Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burbage Funeral Home - Berlin on Mar. 29, 2024.

Richard John Hajewski, age 76, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at his home in Ocean City. Born in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Peter Hajewski and Dorothy DeBald Hajewski.
Richard graduated with a degree in psychology from University of Baltimore and during his career was the Director of Human Resources for Baltimore City and Rockville Maryland. He was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ocean City, MD and also attended Delmarva Polish Club where he would play music. Richard would volunteer at his local Elks Lodge and loved bringing his favorite baked goods to events. He was also a trained musician and loved to play his keyboard and accordion and sing along to his old favorite songs. He was known to be very handy and could fix anything around the house and also liked to give advice to people on their home improvement projects. Richard was a generous person and would never let anyone pick up the bill. His conversations, silly "dad jokes" and kind, loving soul will be missed by all.

Hajewski, stepson, Werner Schlough and wife Patricia, stepdaughter, Katherine Young and husband Phil, brother, Peter Hajewski, and grandchildren, Eric Schlough, Ian Schlough, Cameron Schlough and, Hailey Schlough as well as many extended family members.
