Weatherford has a small-town vibe and is filled with ranches. most people know each other. There are several good schools in the area which are growing because a lot of people are moving to the area. It is a bit of a drive to get anywhere but the good part is the personal space.
Please stop moving to Weatherford Texas! There ain't anything to do here and everything is overpriced. Police are racist and so are half of the residents. It's an old podunk town trying to make it big. Schools are horrible as well. Stay away!!!
It's a nice town with many different retail opportunities. It has a nice small town vibe, while still providing many hot spots to enjoy your stay.
Sometimes I feel as though the community and schools put up a sort of front that everyone is kind and treat everyone like family. When they really don’t. Yes at one point weatherford had that small town charm and everything to it but slowly over the years that has changed and now it’s not really a small town anymore. People have changed and nobody treats other the way they used to. I suppose it’s just the way times have changed everyone over the years but people should still treat others with respect. It is a good place for sports and activities and there are opportunities out there, but you have to know the right people to be able to have those opportunities.
Pretty small town with no diversity to speak of. Mostly just families though it is a little larger where I grew up in the next town over. I just here to work and finish my degree before I move on to a different place.
Weatherford as a town is kind of quaint and pretty small given how many people reside here. It’s a little bit of a big town trapped in a small town, but it does have a small amount of charm with stores and good food. People here are decently nice.
We have been here 5 yrs. Moved her to be with family and grandkids. We moved her for from Georgetown, Tx. Our neighborhood is very quite being it’s an older neighborhood with a lot of us seniors. The shopping here is not very good in my opinion. Not a lot of variety of clothing stores. Other wise if you like a small town feel Weatherford still somewhat has that feel.
Weatherford is a small town that has everything that you need within it. It is safe and has a large college population.
A town full of old people and college students. no night life at all, the only places open past 10 are walgreens and whataburger. close enough to fort worth.
Weatherford, Texas is a growing city. It's amazing to see how much the town has grown into a major city. There is a lot of potential in a career choice by living here. It's also close to the Fort Worth/Dallas Metroplex. An easy commute just down the road. Weatherford still has the qualities of a quiet country town, but you just have to look around at all the businesses being built to see its potential. I'm truly excited to be a part of this growing community.
It's a small suburb west of Fort Worth Tx. The people are nice and welcoming.
If you live in the country. It's quiet but if you're in town there's lots of people out.
The thing that needs to change in Weatherford Tx is to put affordable housing prices. It's expensive to live there.

Weatherford is a great town to retire in. It has all the resources I need here. It’s relatively small and quiet. The traffic is getting a little bad but nothing too crazy. The people I have encountered are all very friendly. To the people so think it is not diverse, excepting, too many trucks, too many guns, bad police etc. blah blah, I have an idea, move to Austin where you may be happier.
There are so many different options when it comes to schools, jobs, churches, food, and so much more!
As a student at Brock High School, I tend to identify more with Brock than Weatherford, but I do enjoy both towns. Weatherford is much larger and provides kids from Brock a lot more to do. It's a town full of good people just like Brock, but it is a little less safe and can be less friendly. But Weatherford as a whole offers just about anything that anybody could ever want, from entertainment, to shopping, to food, Weatherford has it all.
I’m personally not a fan of Weatherford. I just moved here and didn’t know much about the area but I got a job here. I like the downtown area, the shopping off of I-20 has almost everything you could need but I wouldn’t say I’m happy here. There’s no diversity. There’s no acceptance of LGBTQ people, it’s just not a community that feels very accepting and loving and I am trying to get out of my lease to leave.
Weatherford used to be a really nice small town, Now it is too crowded with stores and cars and is extremely over populated, Weatherford certainly is not my favorite place to live. WOuld be nice if weatherford had a communicaty area for students and kids alike.
I have lived in Weatherford for over 25 years. The home of the Kangaroos and Coyotes, Weatherford is a town where everyone knows you. It has an old school "home town" feel with all the extra amenities that a metropolitan area offers. Known as a conservative town, there is Christian Church on almost every corner. Weatherford has many small town favorites including; Pizza Place, Golden Moon, Yesterday's Sandwich Shop, and Sake. If you are looking for a place where everyone belongs, Weatherford is the town for you!
