High quality lunch, well prepared and with correct pace served, despite a big group lunching at the same time.
Staff friendly.

Beautiful food, not in the least the standard Italian fare. Nice touch to be able to go into the wine cellar and pick a bottle too, although note there are no prices displayed.....
This was not a cheap meal, over 130 euros for 2 courses and a bottle of wine, so I do not think it is unfair to say that the standards of service are not high enough. The Maitre D’ was of course excellent and one of his waiters was very good, but the waiter assigned to us was either sloppy or inexperienced. To start with when eating a dish of spaghetti, in the U.K. it is common to at least be offered a spoon. This was not done. For my main, I had a delightful parcel of sea bass cooked with vegetables, but the cellophane wrap and string tie it was presented in, required me to have to ask for a side plate as I undid them (after battling with the knot) to put the cellophane on, so that I could eat my meal. At no point after the first pour was any wine or water topped up by the waiting staff. Great food but let down by service.

We stopped in for a "quick" bite but stayed because of the superb service, amazing food, great music and that cozy feeling that makes you never want to leave.
The hubby ordered the bacon scallop appetizer and I have the fruits de mare spaghetti.
Both were expertly crafted and had the most amazing flavor. The mussels tasted of ocean water and the sauce or broth was light and didn't weigh down the 6 different seafood in my dish.
As an American, you're cautioned that Italy doesn't prepare bacon the same way we do but this bacon was outstanding. Crisp, with the perfect amount of give. It complemented the luscious scallops perfectly.
Lorenz, the sommelier, offered us a perfect local brunello and even finished the meal with a care and homemade biscuits/cookies.
We are almost sad to leave as we know that we will not be taken care of any better than we have been here.
Thank you for the amazing meal, for making our honeymoon so delightful and we hope to return.

Chef Ancona is a master chef and should be reviewed by Michelin inspectors. We did not stay at the hotel, we traveled from Our apartment near Santa Croce. Trust me, it was well worth the trip. He is also a fantastic pastry chef.

While driving back to Modena, we stopped to eat in this restaurant. It is not part of the hotel. Staff are welcoming and very friendly. We have ordered 2 antipasti (octopus carpaccio and tortino di asparagi): both plates are exceptional, tasty and delicious. Not to forget the “secondo” (a plate of tagliata di tonno) exceptional of mixture of two types of herbs with eggplants. This mixture does not cover the wonderful taste of the fresh tuna. Highly recommended.

I was this Sunday 04/21/2924 passing through at lunchtime.
I immediately felt at home: kindness and a lot of professionalism!
Cleanliness and elegance are the background of this restaurant.
The dishes are excellent and plentiful: from the starter to the second course..
Well done, keep it up!

Positive surprise. Dinner with client during the week. We had dinner in a room surrounded by many wines. Very intimate. The chef suggested a tasting of starters and I must say that the fantastic dishes arrived, very well cooked octopus with au gratin with confit tomatoes, raw artichoke salad with superlative prawns. Two first courses, one better than the other. The best carbonara di mare made very well. Then tuna with crunchy burrata and superlative truffle. Tasty and delicate at the same time. To finish, a warm chocolate cake is made. To return
