BBC Three and Moonage Pictures (The Pursuit of Love, Obsession, Curfew) have announced that Anna Maxwell Martin (Motherland, A Spy Among Friends), Gary Beadle (Rye Lane, Small Axe) and Mathew Baynton (Ghosts, The Wrong Mans) will also star in A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder alongside the previously announced Emma Myers and Zain Iqbal. Filming completed on the adaptation of Holly Jackson’s hugely successful mystery thrillers last month.

Sampson as Jake Lawrence, Carla Woodcock as Becca, Yasmin Al-Khudhairi as Naomi Ward, Jackson Bews as Dan Da Silva, Jessica Webber as Nat Da Silva, Matthew Khan as Dylan, Georgia Aaron as Emma Hutton, Oliver Wickham as Jesse Walker, Adam Astill as Toby Hastings and Annabel Mullion as Rosie Hastings.
“I am also so excited to welcome Henry Ashton into the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder family as Max Hastings,’ continues Jackson. “Henry’s was the first audition I ever saw in the casting process, and it blew me away. In fact, they all did. It truly felt like watching the books come to life. We had so much fun making this TV show and I cannot wait to see it all come together – and to your TV screens!”
Alongside Emma Myers and Zain Iqbal, previously announced cast members also include rising stars Asha Banks (The Magic Flute) as Cara, Yali Topol Margalith (The Tattoist of Auschwitz) as Lauren, Jude Collie (Here We Go) as Connor and Raiko Gohara (Get Lost) as Zach.
Five years ago, schoolgirl Andie Bell was murdered by her boyfriend Sal Singh. Case closed. The police know he did it. Everyone in town knows he did it. A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder (6 x 45’) is written by lead writer Poppy Cogan alongside Zia Ahmed, Ajoke Ibironke and Ruby Thomas, and is produced by Florence Walker. Executive producers are Matthew Read, Matthew Bouch and Frith Tiplady for Moonage Pictures, with Lucy Richer and Danielle Scott-Haughton for the BBC, and Dolly Wells, Holly Jackson and Poppy Cogan. BBC Studios, who have a minority investment stake in Moonage Pictures, are handling international distribution of the series.
A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder was filmed in the South West of England and will air on BBC Three and iPlayer.
