The 15 pieces named on the booklet do not correspond directly to the 11 album tracks, each of which contains sections of multiple pieces. David Thomas has answered the question 'The CD player says ... there are only 11 cuts, while the CD booklet lists 15 titles': 'Clearly I mean to shortcircuit the pearls-on-a-string format and since the event flows from one "piece" to a narrative to the next "piece" I want to force the listener to (1) hear the introductory narrative and (2) to recognize that by skipping around the listener is interrupting the event.'
The sub-tracks were determined using the credited lyrics provided on Thomas' site and entered in the tracklisting by order of appearance. The site names "Mirror Man Sees" as "What Mirror Man Sees".
The booklet credits are correct but only partial:
Linda Thompson sang Over The Moon, Bus Called Happiness and Nowheresville. Robert Kidney sang Lost Nation Road, Memphis and Weird Cornfields. Jackie Leven sang Morbid Sky. David Hild sang his own composition, Florida. Jane Bom-Bane sang Montana.
David Thomas sang Nowheresville. Andy Diagram played trumpet. Keith Moliné played midiguitar. Peter Hammill played harmonium, guitar and keyboard. Chris Cutler played electric drums. Jack Kidney played tenor sax and harp. David Thomas played melodeon.
Bob Holman recited his own composition, Mirror Man Speaks.
Mirror Man was commissioned by the South Bank Centre, London, and performed April 3 1998 at the Queen Elizabeth Hall as part of the 4-day festival, "David Thomas: Disastodrome!"
Standard jewel case holding an 8-page full colour booklet with photography, artwork and credits..
