1. Barcelona B

Pep Guardiola was placed in charge of Barcelona second team then in the Spanish their Tercera División group.

He secured qualification for the 2008 Segunda División B playoffs and secured qualification following their victory in the playoffs. This was a milestone for the club legend who won major trophies in domestic and continental competitions as a player.

2. Barcelona

Following the success with the Barcelona B team, Pep Guardiola was announced to be the head coach of the senior team after the departure of Dutch manager Frank Rijkaard.

His first season with the Catalan club saw an overhaul of the entire squad to pave way for a new era at the club. Pep made some of the most important signings at the time which helped Barcelona become a strong force.

At the end of his first season, he secured the Spanish La Liga title with Barcelona to end their three-year wait for a league title. Pep also guided his new generation squad to Copa del Rey victory.

In the UEFA Champions League where he started his first competition with a comfortable win over Polish club Wisła Kraków, Pep relied on Andrés Iniesta late minute goal in the second leg at Stamford Bridge to put his side to the final.

In the final of the UEFA Champions League, Pep Guardiola defeated Manchester United to lift the title, thereby becoming the youngest man to coach a Champions League winning team.

In his second season, he made another squad overhaul when the likes of Samuel Eto’o, Eiður Guðjohnsen, Sylvinho and Albert Jorquera headed for the exit door.

3. Bayern Munich

At the start of the 2013–14 season, Pep switched to German giants Bayern Munich replacing Jupp Heynckes.

The Spanish manager won the UEFA Super Cup with Bayern Munich in his first season. Still in the calendar year of 2013, Guardiola won the FIFA Club World Cup Bayern Munich after beating Raja Casablanca.

At the end of the 2013/2014 season, Pep Guardiola led Bayern Munich to their 23rd German Bundesliga title.

4. Manchester City

Pep Guardiola was appointed Manchester City manager in 2017 following his departure from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich. The Spaniard signed a three-year contract with the Cityzens for the start of the 2016–17 season.

Before the start of the new season in the English Premier League, he brought new players and also released players who didn’t fit into his new plan with the Manchester-based football team.

Pep started on a fine note but was forced to rethink his decision to sign for the Premier League following a drop in form across all competitions which saw him finish the season without a meaningful trophy in England.
