There needs to be more vetting in how the professors teach their classes. Some professors are more concerned with how they feel instead of what the students need to learn
University of Massachusetts Lowell is an excellent school for students planning to focus on academics. Most of the professors I have met with do a great job teaching their students and ensuring their success. UMass Lowell also has such a lively campus life that ensures that all students are able to find a place of comfort. Although the campus is smaller than most colleges, the school is a great home to students who are looking for a cozy place for their college career.
Great programs and everyone is always helping each other making it a more inclusive university to be at
UMass Lowell is known for its strong programs in science, engineering, and technology, as well as its commitment to research and innovation. Many students appreciate the hands-on learning opportunities provided by the university, including co-op programs, internships, and research projects. The campus is also praised for its diverse student body and supportive community atmosphere.
However, like any institution, some areas could be improved. Some students have expressed concerns about the availability of certain courses, particularly in high-demand majors, and the need for more resources in certain departments. Additionally, while the campus has undergone significant improvements in recent years, there may still be room for further enhancements to facilities and infrastructure.
Overall, experiences at UMass Lowell can vary depending on individual interests and needs, but many students find it to be a rewarding and enriching educational experience.

I feel that this University is very good at offering help to any of the studnts who need it. They are very good at offering accomodations, not only through the testing center for students who need more time on their exams, but also students who maybe need a word bank for their exams. They also offer many free tutoring sessions for courses. Overall they are very good at making sure that students have everything that they need to be succesful.
UMass Lowell is a really cool school, professors are really nice and actually care about their students, although student life is not much part of the campus community. really supportive staff.
I think UMass Lowell is a great school. It’s very diverse and professors are very knowledgeable and helpful if you do your research and find the good ones. You can find more challenging classes if you want them. For the most part, staff and administration have been very helpful and accessible. UMass Lowell has many opportunities for students especially based on merit. Dining hall food is hit or miss and as far as party scene goes there seems to be some pretty good ones from what I’ve heard. For student and campus life it seems like you really have to try and involve yourself to find your community and get the “college experience,” but it’s not impossible. Though, I commute so it may be different for me. There are many commuters here though so I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily a bustling student life. Lowell also has many great restaurants especially in downtown. I’d say my experience here has been great in terms of academics, support, and opportunities but lacking in student life.
UMass Lowell offers a wide range of academic programs, including engineering, business, sciences, humanities, and arts. Many students appreciate the quality of instruction and the opportunities for hands-on learning experiences. UMass Lowell boasts a diverse student body, with students coming from various cultural and academic backgrounds. This diversity enriches the campus community and provides students with opportunities to learn from their peers. Situated in Lowell, Massachusetts, the university's location provides students with access to a vibrant city while still offering a relatively quiet campus environment. Lowell itself has a rich history and offers cultural attractions, dining options, and recreational activities. Overall, UMass Lowell offers a robust academic experience with ample opportunities for students to engage in research, career development, and campus life.
This university has a lot of great people who are readily available to help. The staff seem to want to help and they are very accessible when needed out of office hours.

Many students appreciate the multicultural environment, as it fosters a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives. Great professors are often highlighted as a positive aspect of the university. Faculty members at UMass Lowell are known for their expertise, engaging teaching styles, and dedication to student success. The emphasis on quality education and supportive learning environments is a key feature that students often appreciate. As for areas of improvement, it's mentioned that there isn't much change needed, suggesting an overall positive view of the university. However, specific preferences can vary among individuals. Some students may have specific suggestions related to facilities, programs, or services that could enhance their overall experience.
Very boring area, the school itself is very great but overall very boring and has little to no social life. The food here is not as good as they say but perhaps that is due to the funding going to keeping the campus clean rather than food and social life.
Very Good University for those who are interested in academics. The variety of food has changed during my time there. Do not recommend if you want to go to school and party
It’s a good school but not easy to make friends when you are a commuter, I wish there were more ways to make friends here. But other than that a very great school with every resource imaginable .
I enjoy how many activities you can be a part of. There is a wide range of majors you can choose from. The dining hall at Fox Hall just added a spice wall which is very nice!
My overall experience at the University of Massachusetts Lowell has been great. Although I have not been there for that long it is provided me with endless amounts of resources academically and is local to where I currently live. This campus has everything. It is inclusive to all the students and also has plenty of activities that happen around campus. The campus also focuses on the individual students well being and there are good resources to reach out to if you are struggling in any way shape or form.
Like every college the University of Massachusetts Lowell has its flaws, but it's definitely an amazing school located around amazing areas. The students who attend Lowell are some of the most outgoing and fun people I've ever met. I made the vast majority of my deep connections at Lowell in the short time that I've attended. I'm a part of the nursing program, which has been amazing. all of the teachers have been great and extremely easy to work with. I have had my difficulties with a teacher but that doesn't take away from how qualified they are. I'd recommend Lowell to anyone who is interested in engineering, nursing, or an arts major.
This is college have been goo to me so far, they have been helping me through the application process.
I have so far had a fantastic college experience at Umass Lowell. The business department at this school is second to none from the education to the professors and staff members in charge. The student-life balance is also a great bonus when I like to wind down and relax from school. One thing I'd like to see change at this school is the amount of resources provided to students through financial services.
Some professors are very understanding and seem genuine in their interest in the class they teach but the campus life is not great. It's difficult to get technical issues resolved in a timely manner as they tend to not respond to emails.
I vividly remember the first day I stepped onto the bustling campus of the University of Massachusetts Lowell, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervous anticipation. The sprawling greens and the modern, yet welcoming architecture immediately caught my eye, symbolizing a blend of tradition and innovation. I immersed myself in diverse and challenging courses, each lecture sparking new ideas and perspectives, constantly expanding my intellectual horizons. The faculty, always approachable and knowledgeable, played a crucial role in shaping my academic journey, guiding me with patience and expertise. Beyond academics, the vibrant campus life, filled with cultural events and student organizations, allowed me to forge lasting friendships and invaluable networks, enriching my university experience beyond measure.
