Tom Daley is set to compete in a fifth Olympic Games in Paris this summer after he was confirmed in Great Britain’s diving team. The 29-year-old won gold in the 10m synchronised platform event at the Tokyo 2020 Games and will defend his title alongside Noah Williams. Daley will make history in Paris, becoming the first Team GB diver to appear in five Olympics.

Team GB have confirmed that Tom Daley will become the first British diver to compete at a fifth Olympics in Paris this summer, with the 29-year-old set to partner Noah Williams in the 10m synchronised platform event.
Daley, who captured his first Olympic gold medal in Tokyo in 2021, took a lengthy break from the sport following his triumph.
However, he returned to action last December at the British National Diving Cup after more than two years out and then won silver alongside Williams at the World Championships in February to book Great Britain’s spot in the 10m synchronised dive in Paris.
The pair also claimed gold at a World Cup event in Berlin in March despite limited training together, with Daley living in Los Angeles.
Daley first competed at the Olympics as a 14-year-old in 2008 and has won one gold and three bronze medals. He took the top step of the podium in Tokyo alongside Matty Lee, who has been ruled out of this year’s Olympics after having surgery on his spine.
Jack Laugher will go for his second gold in the men’s 3m synchronised alongside Anthony Harding.
“I am delighted to welcome Olympic champions Jack and Tom back to Team GB for a fourth and fifth Games respectively,” said Team GB Chef de Mission Mark England.
“Congratulations to Tom in particular who becomes the first British diver to compete at five Olympic Games, a remarkable achievement.”

Daley, Williams, Laugher and Harding were among eight divers announced by Team GB for the Games. In the women’s 10m synchronised, Lois Toulson will take part in her third Games and combine with Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix.
Yasmin Harper and Scarlett Mew-Jensen will compete in the women’s event.
