John C. Fremont Senior High School Reviews
Rating 3.4 out of 5 368 reviews
Overall my experience at John C. Fremont has been mediocre. This school is know for fighting, violence, even a riot that happened 5 years ago. So when I first entered inside my sophomore year I expected the worse. Although it wasn’t as bad as it seemed at first. Over time I began to see flaws amongst the admin and school rules. Some students were getting bad grades due to what they were wearing, the principal said nothing about it. Hundreds of students have been robbed right outside, including me, twice. Although this might seem as something ordinary for the typical South Central neighborhood, all of the admin made it seem our fault, instead of hiring new security or more staff. It was unfair. As my last year of high school has arrived I learned that although there was various opportunities for sports and clubs, there was more for us that was not given.
My overall experience at John C. Fremont High School went pretty well. I got to make wonderful friendships, not only with my peers but also my teachers. I also got to join ASB Leadership, which allows me to not only be involved in the school activities but also help plan them out. When it comes to my academics, I got to take the classes that I am interested in and classes that are requirements. The only issue I have with the school is their system. They have a semester system. What I mean is we would take one class a semester, which I don't mind because I get to take more classes but it does cause more stress for not only students but I'm pretty sure also for teachers due to having to fit a year class into a semester.
My best experience is when everyone wants me to continue with my education helping me with college applications and they give me a good talk about what I want to do. They have to help me mentally and physically. The worst part is that not everyone could experience to be a pathfinder.
