Barkhad Abdirahman (born June 15, 1994) is a Somali-American actor from Minneapolis. Originally being born in Nairobi, Kenya, he later relocated to Minnesota, known for having a large Somali population. In 2013 he was cast in Paul Greengrass' biographical survival thriller film Captain Phillips along side his friends Barkhad Abdi, Faysal Ahmed and Mahat M. Ali, all four of which would portray the Somali pirates who would hijack the MV Maersk Alabama and later hold it's captain, Richard Phillips (Tom Hanks), for ransom in it's lifeboat.

Adan Bilal []

Barkhad Abdirahman played the youngest pirate of the crew, Adan Bilal at age 16 who later gets shot by snipers in Navy SEAL team six. He is the actual nice pirate in the movie Captain Phillips released 2013, as he gives Phillips a chance to live (I am not going to tell you what because that would be a spoiler). In the movie he tells Muse to take him with the crew, as Somalia is a desperately poor nation
