Decent little Horror/Thriller , takes a while to get going but the final act is pretty good. Good cast and Dan Stevens makes any movie better.
Overall The Rental is an above average Horror but for me it has a pretty big flaw in that who was this killer ? and what was his motive ?
    Re-watch ? Probably...

    ★★

A nothing exciting movie where I’m expected to care about two boring couples when half of the couple is terrible. Go ahead, kill them. Make me happy.

Hard to believe this movie came out in 2020 and Jeremy Allen White is in it. Glad his career is where it is now and didn’t stay in 2020 Netflix horror!

Oh but otherwise, this is my favorite type of movie to turn on while I’m doing something else and it delivered on being a movie I didn’t need to pay attention to!

    ★★★

I don’t know if it’s just the cut I watched on Shudder but this has some of the worst editing I’ve ever seen. It’s almost looked like it was cut around TV breaks and I’m giving it the benefit of the doubt that it wasn’t intentional

Apart from Dave directed a fine horror thriller even if the story ends up being pretty lame.

    ★★★

Het regiedebuut van Dave Franco belooft spanning en horror in combinatie met wat drama. Helaas is het juist het drama dat het grootste deel van de film de overhand heeft en lijkt de horror maar bijzaak.

Thriller in an AirBnb. A secret killer you’ll literally never guess. Not because of the twist. The aftermath is more shocking than the betrayals and tension

    ★★★

effective thriller: my heart pounded the entire second half.

I just want, more? I wish we had more motives but also it's kinda realistic if you think about it in the grand scheme of the characters.

Overall nothing super special, but nothing bad either (except for the treatment of Reggie.) Alison Brie was fantastic as always.
