Pleasant
I just finishing watching this episode with dinner. Along with Perry's wonderful singing, it also features a dramatic sketch featuring an actor playing Lincoln, and a college themed segment. The Fontane Sisters are also featured and add to the enjoyment. The original live cigarette commercials are included, and it also features opening and closing idents for NBC
A bit too much digital compression for my taste (the file was uploaded in 2011 when internet speeds were often slower) but overall a very pleasant episode. Hopefully some more of Perry's television shows will be uploaded in the future.

How often do you see a kinescope from 1949?
Delightfully naive and simple television.
Love those corny Chesterfield commercials.
Love those goofy outfits worn by the Fontane Sisters
Lots of great music in any case.

Perry Como Does Well In A 1949 Show
Perry Como in his pre-sweater days - wearing a suit and tie. Good support from a ladies trio and the orchestra. Perry sings songs popular at the time. A nice, very early television show. Well worth watching if you are a Perry Como fan.
