Princess Charlotte's Sweet Reaction to Fan Goes Viral

Princess Charlotte's adorable interaction with a young fan has become the focus of a new viral video after footage from the time of Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022 resurfaced on social-media site TikTok.

The only daughter of Prince William and Princess Kate, Charlotte was born in 2015 and celebrated her ninth birthday on May 2 this year.

Along with her two brothers, Prince George, 10, and Prince Louis, 6, Charlotte has gained a growing fan following among royal watchers; the Wales children's presence at official events such as the annual Trooping the Colour celebrations has become highly anticipated.

Since the accession of King Charles III, Charlotte and her siblings' positions within the monarchy have increased. The princess is now third in the line of succession to inherit the throne, and she was a prominent guest at the coronation held at Westminster Abbey in London last year.

So far in 2024, George, Charlotte and Louis have not made any public appearances following the news of their mother, Princess Kate's, cancer diagnosis.

In the absence of any new appearances, fans have taken to social media to spotlight highlights from past events and engagements, with many posts then going viral.

One of the most-recent posts of this nature has highlighted the moment Charlotte was presented with a small bouquet of flowers. The princess was making her first official visit to the country of Wales to view preparations for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, honoring her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II's 70th year on the throne in 2022.

Uploaded to TikTok by user @loveliestlottie, the footage shows William asking a royal fan during a walkabout in the Welsh capital city of Cardiff whether the flowers they were holding were for Princess Kate or for Charlotte. The latter then blushingly accepts the gesture with the caption: "Charlotte['s] reaction is priceless."

The video has been viewed over 240,000 times on the social-media site and has gained in excess of 29,000 likes and numerous comments, many of which have praised the young royal and her composure in public.

"Very sweet," wrote one TikTok user.

"And she even said thank you," posted another, with a further user adding: "She's so cute."

The visit to Wales was not Charlotte's only appearance during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. She also attended the special Trooping the Colour ceremony and Jubilee pageant outside Buckingham Palace in London.

Following these, Charlotte has been present at some of the monarchy's most-important events, including the state funeral for Queen Elizabeth in September 2022 and King Charles' coronation in May 2023.
