Absolutely love this school and campus! People are extremely sweet and welcoming. I transferred from a community college and I've had the best experience so far. I thrive in academics here because of amazing professors and resources provided and many students will help one another. The community at Texas A&M feels like one large family and the campus is so beautiful with lots of space to explore and many smaller communities and clubs to make connections. This school is filled with amazing traditions that connect current and former students as one aggie family. One of the best decisions I made was to attend university here.
I haven't gone around and partied much or done much of a social life other than my major specific orgs but overall my experience here has been great.
In my first year in college, I participated in the Mathworks mini-drone competition, ABS USV drone design competition, and have done extracurricular activities that include the Galveston Engineering Student organization and FreshTX community service organization. I have enjoyed taking challenging classes such as Differential Equations and Calculus III and enjoyed balancing outside school projects and homework. A discovery in working with the Mathworks mini-drone competition and ABS USV design competition has exposed me to how learning CAD or a programming language basics may be extremely simple, but completing certain jobs, specific tasks, or learning an entirely different toolset within a project is a challenging common occurrence, but with time, dedication, and skill, there is a simple, reasonable, and efficient solution to every problem. Throughout college, I developed a strong basis in Python, Excel, and CADs such as Solidworks and Autodesk.
Texas A&M is a life changing experience. The professors, students, and everyone else makes it like no other university in the world.
It's nice to see such a diverse group of people come together as Aggies. Especially since I came from a small town in Wisconsin, I didn't see much diversity whether in looks or in ideas and interests.
Texas A&M has a great campus with it being split up into "sections" where depending on your major you wont have to walk too far between classes. Registering for classes can be a pain trying to get the classes you want to fit your schedule. Living in College Station has been great as there is a great variety of stores and restaurants to fit many needs. Traffic is awful during most of the day so being able to ride the bus to class is a great option.
Absolutely amazing school, some of the best people I’ve ever met. The culture here is no joke, with several campus traditions that make the school feel like a family. The Aggie Network is real, providing help with finding connections all over Texas and the United States. Personally there isn’t even another school that I would consider applying to if I I could. Even if I could start all over and try again, I would want to do it all the same way.
I liked how inclusive the university is, when I first arrived here, I felt welcomed and was approached with such kindness and happiness to be here. The culture is my favorite aspect of Texas A&M; it really feels like we are all family, wanting the best experience for everyone here.
I just finished my freshman year. Overall, everyone is really out going and school spirit is huge here.
The dorms are old, but it is one of the best ways to make friends.
You need to join a club because it is likely you won't see anybody you know (the school is huge). Sorority life is fun, but there are also so many organizations on campus to join that it isn't your only option.
General classes have ok teachers but when you get into course specific classes, the teachers are really amazing. College station is good if you want to focus on academics because there isn't much to do besides that.
The gyms on campus are amazing and have everything you would need. There are multiple options depending on what part of campus you are on.
Speaking of sides of campus, there is a good bus system but in a hurry it's faster to walk sometimes. The campus is huge and it can be a 20-30 minute walk to get to opposite sides of it.
If your religious, any kind, there are lots of activities.

I had a great overall experience at Texas A&M. Diversity and Inclusion are always areas that schools can work on, and A&M has made decent strides in this since I graduated in 2012. However, they still have work to do in making the campus a fully inclusive space.
My experience at Texas A&M had been great, thus far. I have met people that will be long time friends with my same interests and goals, to a better life. It's very hard work and you have to be diligent. Which has taught me how to study smarter not harder. I like the way A&M has set up their engineering program. Although, I would like to see access to more help in studying, tutors, per say.
Texas A&M is steeped in tradition and dedicated to academics and service. The core values summarized in the acronym RELLIS hold to be extremely true and are displayed boldly through the student body and administration. I am extremely proud to call myself an Aggie and hope that my school maintains this quality of excellence.
It has a nice and organized system so you are able to find everything that you easily need to keep track of all in one place.
Texas A&M University is a college that prioritizes tradition. No matter who you are, there is an organization and some form of involvement for everyone.
Texas A&M University became my home away from home. Everyone is so inviting and once you become part of the aggie family you never leave. From the outside looking in you can't understand it and from the inside looking out you can't explain it. I absolutely love this school
I love TAMU. Coming into college, I thought I wouldn't have the best time, but you just find your people and you learn new things about yourself that you didn't think you would.
Texas A&M Univerity has many great things to offer, such as the academics, student life, and culture of being a student here. With many great traditions that make students feel like family, Texas A&M is a great choice for students wanting to be as involved in their college as possible.
