About

Memorial High School serves students who live in the Houston neighborhoods of Piney Point Village, Hunters Creek Village, Spring Valley Village, Hilshire Village, Hedwig Village and Bunker Hill Village. It opened in the early 1960s, and it now serves over 2,200 students each year.

Memorial High School is the oldest high school that is still in operation in the Spring Branch School District. However, all buildings in the school have been renovated. Memorial has received several awards in the last few years, including the TAKS Gold Performance Award, the Texas ACT Council's College Readiness Award and the Just 4 The Kids High Performing School Award. Memorial High School was also awarded five stars by Texas Monthly magazine.

Memorial High School Houston offers pre-advanced placement, advanced placement and accelerated courses in all of the core subjects, including English, math, social studies, and science. We have a strong athletics program that includes cross country, football, soccer, tennis, swimming, golf, basketball, baseball, softball, and track. In addition, Memorial High School offers many other extracurricular activities for its students, including theatre, band, orchestra, choir, and dance.
