I have attended Westminster since 7th grade. I have participated in various clubs, formed new clubs, played multiple sports at the Varsity level, and taken all honors classes. Out of all the opportunities that Westminster has presented me to partake in those activities, the people at Westminster are by far the most beneficial part of the experience. The students and the teachers pour into you as an individual and want you to succeed. It is a positive life-changing experience that I would recommend to any Christian parents and kids.
Westminster is seemingly one of the best schools in the St. Louis area. Though I feel my children are receiving a great education, I am sad that they are not living the Biblical truths that the school claims to be based upon. The majority of the student body are heavily involved in partying, drugs, alcohol and sex even at the middle school level. The administration does nothing to set the standard high and therefore students who do live a Christian life are actually bullied and ostracized. The administration blames their lack of effort on society which is a sad cop out. As a parent, I am unwilling to accept this excuse at the cost of $18,000 per year. If I had been aware of this, I would have chosen more wisely. College has turned out to actually be a safer environment than Westminster.
Graduated from Westminster.
Pros - high level education, nice and caring teachers, wonderful facilities, fun sports
Cons - very few college credit opportunities, no school sponsored dances, homecomings, or proms, administration does not address drinking and drug and other problems, somewhat of a fake Christian environment, students are not held to any standard of acceptable behavior
The administration empowers the students who are not living a Christian life by allowing them to play sports, have roles in plays and leadership roles. The worst students will be the younger students role models.
Quality education, very low on Christian values and morals.

When compared to the public school that I went to before, Westminster is amazing. I love the teachers and how much they care about their teaching and their students, and I love all of the opportunities that Westminster offers, including sports, clubs, and academies. The school is the perfect amount of academic strain on the students, and there is a wide range of classes offered so the student can pick regular, concepts, AP, or honors. I feel very prepared for college and will have many credits out of the way by the time I reach college thanks to Westminster. I made amazing friends here and I love the Bible classes and the devotionals that the teachers give. I haven’t had too many bad experiences, I would just say that sometimes the homework load is too much to handle, but it has taught me how to manage my time better and be more efficient in doing my homework. I wish the lunch wasn’t so expensive, but I have been fine bringing my lunch every day. I wish the students felt more connected
I have gone to school at WCA for 4 years once freshman year is finished. I couldn’t get out of this awful place sooner. Send your kid here if they are white, rich, love to drink, smoke, party, and enjoy bullying others. I had done their summer camps since I was very little and I loved the community and the Christ-centered values that the school had. I personally knew many students and I looked up to them as a young kid. The school is nothing like what it used to be. The kindness, christianity, and community is completely gone. The tour was great and they really sold my family. This school is nothing like what it was in the past, and definitely has lost all of its Christ-centered values. There is tons and tons of racism here from all sides. The chapels every Wednesday have gotten worse every year. Last year (2022-2023) there were students mocking the singers and speakers in chapel. There was even subway surfers playing in the background of one student’s speech to catch attention (23-24)
Very good school. I met my best friends while attending. The academics properly prepared me for college. Cliques and racism(both ways) are a bit of an issue though. Slurs are commonplace and while they are punished the school does not do enough to engender an environment that discourages such behavior. I am impressed with how well the school handles issues regarding SA. Very pretty campus and buildings.
The school is absolutely inhospitable to Catholicism; don't expect the protty teachers to give you exemptions and extensions for Holy Days.
Even though it has its flaws, it is difficult to look past the fantastic academics and college prep as well as the fine/performing arts.

A good part of Westminster has been being able to get more one on one help when needed because of our smaller class sizes. We also have a math center which is extremally helpful when you are struggling with math. They are also good with providing the accommodations students need. A negative would be when you miss school it is hard to make up the work you missed because you are trying to learn new stuff while catching up.
I love going to Westminster however there are racial issues with both students of color and white students. Both groups make racist comments toward the other. Strict rules are due to administration giving students freedom (phones at lunch, seniors and juniors can leave during lunch, Friday dress-downs, etc.) and the students abusing those privileges and pushing the boundaries. As an academically advanced student, they have honors and AP classes to take however they have greatly deteriorated and let anyone in. If you want challenging academics then look at John Burroughs or Thomas Jefferson. The students here are very privileged and spoiled and don't know it. They complain about how they have it so bad and that they would rather be at a public school with a worse education, even though their parents just bought them a Tesla as their first car (this actually happened). I have been to 5 schools in the STL area and Westminster remains the best. I would choose it over MICDS again every day.
I had a great time at Westminster Christian Academy. I was involved in the performing arts department and received the theatre department scholar’s award. The arts were a very strong suit for Westminster, and me being a member of that was amazing.
Westminster Christian Academy provided me with a 1st class education. The academic staff, teachers and counselors are second to none! They put in the work to ensure that I was ready to go to the next level and complete with anybody. They inspired me to do something great with my life academically and spiritually.
Westminster provided a lot of opportunities and open doors to get to resources i needed to carry on throughout the path. There were racial issues within the school that weren’t addressed correctly but instead overlooked. Starting Westminster in the 7th grade, there was very little diversity throughout the halls but up to my senior year it improved. I recommend Westminster for a great education and preparation for college, but in terms of diversity and community within it, there are more suitable options out there.
My experience at Westminster Christian Academy was somewhat like any other high school. Although it is a Christian school, I experienced a lot of the same things my public school friends did. I got to see discrimination from teachers, students, and administrators. Considering this is a Christian school, you would expect to not see this, but in reality, Christian schools and public schools aren’t that different.
While there were many downsides, there were many upsides. I met a lot of teachers I could put my trust in. They were wiling to talk to me and help me through many things. The counselors, lunch ladies, nurses and even the bookstore moms put a smile on my face by taking the time to have a short conversation with me.
Without Westminster, I wouldn’t have met a lot of the people I know now. This school allowed me to create long lasting friendships, and shape me for college. I was provided the opportunity to take duel enrollment classes and I am so thankful for all of these things.

I like the Christ-centered education and the quality of the education. I don’t like the pressing expectations to get good grades.
Westminster is Christian in name only. Most families lack Christian values, therefore they allow and actually encourage underage drinking, drugs and promiscuous behavior, the school admits/enrolls anyone and administration is unwilling to confront the true issues. Very disappointing to say the least. We expected so much more from a “Christian” school.
My time at WCA has been an excellent experience. This school went above and beyond to prepare me for college and offered many activities outside of the classroom that have greatly impacted my life.
Very disappointed that the school and community make no effort to insist that students, athletes and student leaders walk the walk. The amount of drinking and partying to excess by students is appalling. It is condoned by the families and school officials wash their hands of any responsibility. It starts in about 8th grade and escalates through senior year from what I can tell. It is the most recognizable part of the Westminster culture. We are planning to change schools due to this.
I didn't like Westminster at all. I love that I made a few friends there and had some high quality teachers such as Mr. Wilkins, Mr. Davis, Mr. Breems, and Mrs Thompson and others. But I did not like the school itself, how things are done and the how some departments are lacking such as the Math, Science, and English Department.
