Burlington High School Reviews
Rating 3.64 out of 5 186 reviews
I have a few stories of my experience that nobody has seen. My best and worst parts of my experience tie together. The best part about my high school experience with Burlington High School would be the turn around that the staff helped with. Teachers and aides helped me turn myself around and prepare me for college. Throughout my high school career I had never once had the thought of college until about a year ago. A year ago my whole attitude changed for the better because of the worst experience I had. I was told I wouldn't graduate high school. Moving me to the alternative course school was out the window, I didn't have the option for a lowered required credit course, and I was on track to fail entirely. Thanks to the help from new teachers I met senior year, my school counselor, and the realization that I really needed to push myself to do better, I was able to regain lost credits, join an advanced class, and even have an open hour to TA for a whole semester.
Burlington High School is a good high school to go to. I believe all the teachers do great at teaching by connecting to students. Teachers here care about how you are doing inside and outside of classes. Administration here also works really hard to make sure that students are getting nothing but the best education. Although the school is not that diverse, everyone here at Burlington High School feels welcomed and safe to be themselves.
I find Burlington High School a very welcoming place. The teachers there really are there for you and want you to do your absolute best. Some of the teachers at Burlington High School are some of the most amazing people that I look up to each and every single day, they make my days brighter even on the worst days and they truly care for their students way more then just the academics. I think overall the school is very understanding, they hold you to standards and get you ready for the real world and whatever your after high school plans are, and make sure your work is still challenging, but also make sure that its not too much and your not over stressing yourself. Which I find very amazing.
