After weeks of speculation, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have finally announced that they are expecting their first child together, six years after they tied the knot in 2018.

The actress, in a unique and creative social media post, announced that she is pregnant and revealed that the baby is expected to arrive in September 2024. The post featuring images of baby's rattles, head caps, onesies and shoes, was also posted online by daddy-to-be Ranveer Singh.
Within minutes of the star couple making their announcement, they took over the top trends on social media.Heart emojis abounded as numerous fans expressed their joy. One comment simply read, "Love love and only Love." Another enthusiast exclaimed, "MY DAY IS MADE! CONGRATULATIONS!" Yet another fan shared, "Congratulations!! So thrilled to hear this news!" A different reaction was captured with a simple "Woahhhhhhhhghh." Someone else wrote, "My Hearttttt." Alongside the expressions of joy were well-wishes such as "Congratulations, stay blessed," and "best news." One excited follower exclaimed, "Omg!!!!....soooo happy for you," while another conveyed, "Soo happy for u guys." The outpouring of support concluded with a heartfelt message: "Congratulations, my queen and king, so happy for you guys."

Speculations that DP was pregnant got fueled following her appearance at the BAFTA red carpet, where she opted to wear a saree and strategically covered her stomach with her pallu. Fans were almost certain that the actress was pregnant and the news has now been confirmed.
