Finally pegged more that the computer had in hand points
I probably did this a couple years ago when the computer's plays were insanely predictable but I wasn't looking for it.
That is a solid win, for sure! Perhaps it's time to upgrade to Cribbage Pro and try there too? 😁
Is it much better? I have almost 6,800 games played in Cribbage Classic.
I mean, I'm the developer, so, absolutely! That said, I still think you will find the highest difficulty level against the computer to be more challenging, plus you will find a lot more features, game options/settings, stats and leaderboards, and multiple forms of online multiplayer against real humans too. The new "Daily Cribbage Scrimmage" is also very popular. It is free to try and see what you think. If you find something missing or that you would want to see changed or improved in any way, just let me know.
Does it play genuinely random hands? I've found Cribbage Classic to deal much higher points and luckier cuts than irl cribbage.
Absolutely! I have done extensive work to make certain of it. That doesn't mean it will match how you personally shuffle a deck, but I do guarantee it is randomly shuffled. To be clear, features like the Daily Cribbage Scrimmage use a pre set deck so everyone gets the exact same cards, but obviously that is the purpose of that feature.
Well now I've got a new goal
I may be missing something here, but your total points are 127 but the sum of the peg, hand, and crib points is only 123. Where did the other 4 come from?
I wonder if it is "2-for-his-heels" jack cuts? They don't really fall under the other 3 categories except maybe 'pegging'
Correct, Cribbage Classic doesn't count Nibs in any of the displayed categories.
