One of Bert’s rarest releases, 1985 LP From the Outside was issued originally as an edition of just 500 copies on the small Belgian label, Konexion. Further reissues in 1993 and 2001, by Hypertension and Castle Music respectively, saw the album released with updated artwork and a different track listing.

It wasn't until 2016 that From The Outside would again see reissue, this time by Earth Recordings. The new issue – released on both LP and CD, and limited to 1000 copies worldwide – unites the varied track listings of the previous versions, with some tracks appearing on vinyl for the first time.
