The best part about this school is the amount of freedom you have, I have seen so many schools that are highly strict about what you can and can’t do, but this school was very good on allowing their students to have that bit of “adult” freedom that you would want in a high school, while also keeping their boundaries and having their limits, and I feel like that is a really good balance.
The only negative thing I would say is the teaching. There were some teachers here that you could tell did not care much for teaching, there were also many teachers that picked favorites and would let those favorites do what they wanted while giving their other students hard times. Overall the school is great!

I've been going for the past 3 years now, just finished Junior. I've been in both theatre and ROTC my entire time which has gotten me pretty far in both. The ROTC program, while very well taught, is dwindling and could use more cadets (at the time of writing). On the other hand, the theatre program is starting to get better. We just got a booster club and it's just a nice environment. The academics aren't too bad, not the best but pretty good. My one biggest problem (might be biased) is the fact that the AP Psychology Course is only 1 semester even though there is an entire AP course you need to know for the test.
Being an alumni from MacArthur High School, I have learned that this school has an amazing culture and diversity. There are multiple opportunities for students to get involved and succeed in multiple areas of interest. MacArthur high school offers multiple sports programs and academic programs that help kids find their true interests in order to succeed in the future.
