- Mel L8 contributionsWe had a great time on our guided 4 hour e-bike tour. Our guide, Merle, was very friendly, personable and knowledgeable of the area. The Carriage Roads were beautiful and peaceful and we learned so much about the history. The e-bikes were good quality, with long battery life. Nothing can ever be done about the weather. But even with the fog and misty rain, it was still beautiful. Highly recommend. - Mark M9 contributionsWe decided to rent these e-bikes for the self guided tour rather than having to keep up with a guided tour. We did the full day tour 6 hours . We met at the Acadia park visitor center and got a quick lesson on how to ride and a suggested route to follow with a map . Keep in mind both my wife and I have never been on an E Bike before and quickly learned . They let us test drive it around the lot, ask questions , and make seat adjustments. My wife was a little cautious at 1st and had trouble keeping up with me but soon after she was right there with me. The bikes give the boost needed to get up the hills while still allowing pedaling and getting in some exercise. All the sites were beautiful ,We stopped at Jordan house for a quick grab and go sandwich and drink . You can fill your water bottles up also. There is a phone holder on the bike and a bag that holds plenty of items we had bottles of water , and snacks with an ice pack and plenty more room. We also had a beautiful Sunny day which was a plus. We traveled about 23 Miles giving us the opportunity to see a lot more than we could if hiking or driving . We would rent again from Islandtime again staff and equipment was top notch. Pete was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the history of Acadia and the surrounding areas. He shared lots of information with us
The scenery was spectacular. We did many stops along the way and Pete was very patient waiting for me while I explored.

- kmess110710 contributionsWe honestly had the best time ever. Our guide AJ catered to our every need. He was so knowledgeable. He took all our pictures so we could enjoy every place we visited. I would choose to go on the tour again and again and will recommend to anyone coming to Maine. He took all the stress and worry out of our trip and made us feel special on our 20th anniversary. The drive around was nice...will need to return to see sunrise at Cadillac Mtn (unable to see due to rain) and with bikes to explore more.
