Sean Lowe Marries Catherine Giudici

There were tears – the groom’s! – when The Bachelor‘s Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici tied the knot in a romantic ceremony on Sunday.

Lowe’s father Jay officiated the ceremony and called their romance “an epic fairytale on display for the whole world to see.”

In fact, he did most of the talking at the altar but Sean and Catherine said the most important words: “I do.”

The nuptials – watched by millions on a live TV special on ABC – were a happy ending for the couple who met on the reality show and got engaged in Thailand in November of 2012.

Lowe, 30, had predicted he’d be the one to cry, admitting on Good Morning America days before the wedding that he was a “softie.” “Anytime I start talking about her, I can’t help but tear up,” he said.

The couple spent weeks working with celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss on all the details of the ceremony and reception at the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara, which Giudici, 27, wanted to have a “grown sexy” theme that she described as “very romantic.”

“We want some traditional type of ceremony that just unifies us and then have a big party afterwards,” Giudici said. And that’s just what she and Lowe got. Here are all the details of their big day:

The Dress
Giudici wore a Monique Lhuillier gown. “It’s gorgeous,” she told GMA‘s Lara Spencer. “I’ve always felt like a cute girl, trying to be fun and playful, but this time I’m really coming out as a woman and I want to wear something very form-fitting and sexy.” Her hair was styled by Jose Eber, who created two different looks – one for the ceremony and one for the reception.

The Vows
“The first time that I saw you, you were like a light to my bug. I had to find you. You mesmerize me with how brightly you shine,” Catherine told Sean at the altar. “Sometimes I feel like I’m going to explode by how much I love you … I’m completely consumed by you … I promise to love you after my heart bursts … You are my dream and my reality.”

“From the moment I met you I wanted more. You had me hooked from the beginning and I didn’t want to let you go,” Sean then said. “We met in the strangest way possible … I know that we met on The Bachelor so that I could fall in love with my best friend … Every day I am encouraged by your love and your selflessness … I’m going to love you for eternity.”

The Bridal Party
The bridesmaids, including Giudici’s BFF from The Bachelor, Lesley Murphy, wore gowns designed by Monique Lhuillier. Lowe’s niece and nephew, Kensington and Smith, were the flower girl and ring bearer, and Giudici’s nephew, Dylien, was a second ring bearer.

The Rings
Neil Lane, who designed Guidici’s 3.15-carat platinum-and-diamond engagement ring, also designed the couple’s wedding bands.

The Guests
In addition to the couple’s family and friends, there were several familiar faces from the Bachelor and Bachelorette worlds, including Trista and Ryan Sutter, Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum, Jason and Molly Mesnick, Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried, Arie Luyendyk, Jef Holm, John Wolfner, Charlie Grogan and Daniella McBride.

The Theme
Giudici said she wanted the wedding to have an “understated sexy” feel and celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss created “a living room outside” for the nuptials, decorating with eclectic furniture and “even bringing in chandeliers that will sit outside in the garden,” she told Extra. The color palette featured touches of metallic gold, which reminded the couple of Thailand, where Lowe proposed, and flowers from Mark’s Garden.

The Cakes
Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes created a delicious wedding cake for the couple and also crafted a 3-D groom’s cake for Lowe in the shape of the couple’s dogs, Lola and Ellie.

The First Dance
Lowe chose the song for the couple’s first dance as man and wife: Randy Rogers’ “One Woman.”
