      Nathan W I didn't expect it to be quite as dark as it was. Not only was everything so drab and depressing, but they didn't pull any punches when it came to violence. We got to see up close, and in graphic detail, the horrors of Nazi occupied Poland (Warsaw). Not only people being cut down in the streets, but the heartbreaking things they had to do to survive. (It was genuinely hard to watch at times). Adrian Brody was as good as I've ever seen him... Gave an incredibly moving and emotional performance. I didn't recognize too many other faces in this one but all of the acting was top notch. The script was well written and the deliveries were on point for the most part. I thought it was a very effective period piece as well. The amount of detail in the wardrobes, the set pieces, and the general location was incredible. Good things aside, the plot really slowed down around the halfway mark. I wasn't bored necessarily, but there was a lot of Adrian Brody hiding out in different places.... With not much else going on. I was still into the story, it just wasn't the most exciting thing to watch. But overall I though this was an incredibly good looking and gripping tale of one man's struggle to survive.
