Can you imagine Matthew McConaughey as your tío? A viral TikTok showed a glimpse of the Academy Award-winning actor dancing with his niece at her quinceañera. The heartwarming video, posted by TikTok user @mackynile on Saturday, April 27, captured the sweet moment of the two dancing. 

Wearing a cowboy hat and jeans, McConaughey joyfully swayed with his niece, who wore a gorgeous white gown and a tiara. The video received lots of love, garnering over 3.3 million views and nearly 230,000 likes. In the comments, many people were awed by the moment.

"Love him he's so humble. Happy quince. She looks beautiful," Navid's and Mommy's Channel commented.

"He is the best, I love how down-to-earth he is. I just love him," Oldsoultrueheart wrote.

In another TikTok video, @mackynile explained that she posted the video because she thought it was super fun how McConaughey attended the quinceañera, a celebration of a girl's 15th birthday. She shared how McConaughey's son and daughter were a part of the quinceañera court. The TikToker said the quinceañera was beautiful and a great time. She recalled the actor being super nice and chill. 

McConaughey left Los Angeles and moved to Texas, his home state, in 2014. In an article with Southern Living, he revealed that the change came after he noticed how Texas eased him and brightened his mood. McConaughey described Texas as home.

He said, "Time slowed down. The clock was right, the body clock. Part of that is ritual; part of that is just the distance between places and the way people move. But it's also the hospitality, the courtesy, the common sense, the lack of drama."
