We stayed one night in the Lühmann's Hotel in Hannover and we enjoyed!! We had a great view to the "Rathaus", stunning view on this building. The location is perfect, as with walking distance you find restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly and kind. The breakfast was also good and we liked the fact, that all eggs dishes are made fresh in the kitchen, you are asked how you would like them... a few minutes later you get perfect cooked eggs :-)

The room are all different, with an own theme / atmosphere and we will get back there again, everything is perfect and... the PRICE just unbelievable, really good value for the room / night. A must to "go" :-)

Too tired and weary to go hotel hunting, this was our first port of call. The price was very good, there was parking for our Range Rover with trailer just outside and we were 10 minutes away from the old part of town with its excellent bars and restaurants. My room in the eaves was very nice – and immaculate. Thirst quenching drinks were delivered to us in the comfortable chairs outside, in front of the hotel. Breakfast was very good. I can recommend this very pleasant and reasonably-priced business hotel.

Please do not be mistaken. The rooms look NOTHING like this. It is not fully clean. Check in closes at 2:30pm and the number doesn’t work that is meant to go through to the hotel. Really wish I had never booked it.

So disorganised and simply a money making machine that doesn’t work

The room and bathroom facilities were standard but because both rooms were oddly shaped, the facilities had been installed without consideration of utility.

A long narrow work-surface with two office chairs under the window partially hindered access to one side of the bed. The television was wall-mounted at right angles to the bed beyond its foot and was apparently not swivel-mounted so that it could not be viewed from the bed. The only seating was the office chairs.

The bathroom was small and somewhat cramped. The sink was cracked but did not leak. The shower - no bath - was not a separate cubicle but equipped with shower curtains. The supply / re-supply of the basic toileteries was not generous.

Other than breakfast we did not eat at the hotel. The choice at the buffet breakfast was comprehensive including "cooked to order" bacon and eggs. However breakfast items were not necessarily replenished, eg.croissants and pastries, and some of the meats and cheeses, and on occasions they were not replenished at all because apparently the supply for the day was exhausted. If you want the full choice of breakfast items, rise early!

The staff were friendly; the room was clean.

The hotel is situated about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the main shopping streets. It is also on a major dual carriageway. However noise from the latter was insignificant due to effective glazing and the openness of the street and road.

Overall it was okay-ish for what we wanted over the three days stay.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Central but quiet and within walking distance of Hannover main station. The hotel has a boutique feel and we were warmly welcomed on arrival with the guest form ready for us. The breakfast, for only 9,50€,was a bargain and is definitely worth having. The room and en suite bathroom were fine. Only one pillow per person was not a problem for us but might be for others.. The lift needs time to arrive so if you're in a hurry to leave then allow extra time or take the stairs.Free coffee varieties from a machine were available all day in the lounge area, which was nice. All in all an excellent experience.

Luhmann's Hotel am Rathaus is one of the Garni hotels I prefer for my travel. It is family owned with friendly hospitality and a nice breakfast. If you have a foldable bike you can take it to your room. Bicycles are the best for traveling in the city.
I have a healthy ride to the university where I lecture in the morning. In the evening everything in Hannover downtown is walking distance. Crossing the street lets me walk in a lovely park in the back of the new Mayor' Manson.

The rooms were nice and roomy. They were clean and comfortable.
The breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff was nice.
The front desk staff lady had a quite unhappy personality.
There is one elevator which is always being used and it fits one person and a suitcase. God forbid you are a large person because you will have issues in their elevator. Plan on waiting a bit to use the elevator.
The location is excellent!

I stayed here on a business trip. The hotel is basic, but very decent. It is absolutely clean. I had a room with a very small bathroom: if you are tall or your BMI is over 25 you'd have problems getting into the shower.....
The lighting in the room was not very romantic.
Breakfast is excellent.
Location is also great, very central with a nice view on the New City Hall.
I ran around the Maschsee in the morning, which is a nice work-out.

Breakfast was really good, with a large range of products. Also service at breakfast was ok. The location of the hotel is also convenient. Room was ok, basic, but ok. Huge bathroom though.
Personel at check-in was nice, but check-out very "cold", we were not even asked if we enjoyed our stay. Bed was pretty hard + curtains were so thin we both were right awake at 6am because of the sun. Product in the bathroom is in a dispenser and did not smell that good.
