Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher won’t be saying “Hello, Wisconsin!” anytime soon.
Despite returning as Jackie and Kelso in the first season of That ’90s Show, Kunis confirmed that neither she nor her husband will appear in the upcoming second season of Netflix‘s That ’70s Show spinoff.
Entertainment Tonight caught up with the actress over the weekend at PaleyFest’s celebration of Family Guy‘s 25th anniversary, where she explained why the couple will be a no-show in the new season.
“No,” Kunis said when asked if we can expect to see them in Season 2. “I mean, we did our thing and they introduced our son in the show.”
Kunis was referring to Jay Kelso (played by Mace Coronel), the 16-year-old son of Jackie and Kelso. Kunis and Kutcher only appeared in one episode of the show’s first season.
That ’90s Show, a direct continuation of Fox’s That ’70s Show (1998–2006), dropped its 10-episode first season in Jan. 2023, and was renewed for a 16-episode second season just one month later. A release date for Season 2 has yet to be announced.
Kunis and Kutcher were among several actors who reprised their roles from the original series; Topher Grace (Eric), Laura Prepon (Donna), Wilmer Valderrama (Fez), Don Stark (Bob) and Tommy Chong (Leo) also returned in various capacities. That said, no legacy cast members got more screen time than Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty) and Kurtwood Smith (Red), the only two who returned as series regulars.
One person you can expect to see again is Kunis’ Family Guy co-star Seth Green, who revealed that his lesser-known That ’70s Show character — Mitch Miller, who appeared in five episodes of the original series — will pop up in That ’90s Show Season 2.

That makes me a little sad, because I’ll always want more of the original cast, even if Jackie and Kelso wound up together.
It’s pretty neat we get to see Oz again, whoops.. meant Mitch. :D
I mean, they did. They came back to help launch the new series and it was sucessful. The baton has been passed on. I would not hold against them not guesting again.
I hope they watch Quiet on Set and learn from the Brian Peck supporters who stopped supporting him.
I think in all honesty, outside of kit and red, we’ll probably see fez and donna.
Any connection to the whole danny masterson issue will be severed. Eric might reappear, but he’s probably just happy with his one stint as his return first season.
Bob and Leo could potentially come back too now that I think about it. No real issue there.
They should just cancel the show. What made the new show funny was the bringing back the original cast members. The new cast, not very funny. It’s not the same with the OG’s making appearances.
The original cast was barely on season 1.
Every episode had at least 1 in addition to kitty and red, Kelso and Jacky wherein 1st episode, Donna and Eric to, Donna was in 3, fez was in 3 or 4, Leo showed up for 3, Bob was back for 1even fee’s nemesis showed up for an episode
I wonder if we’ll see more of Eric now that Topher’s scheduled has cleared up a bit. R.I.P. Home Economics.
They’ll probably come back if Danny Masterson asks.
Too. Soon.
I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s part of the reason the writers didn’t have them back
Cameos are always nice but not really necessary now that the main cast is established. Though it would be fun to see legacy characters pop in.
So they’re still going to pretend that Bitsie Kelso, the whole reason why Ashton Kutcher’s Michael Kelso Character was written out of the Original That 70’s Show, doesn’t exist and that Jay Kelso doesn’t have a Half-Sister out there that’s been firmly established to be in the Canon of the That ___ Show Universe?! And yet nobody Character Mitch gets a comeback?! Good job on priorities people.
Both of them, but primarily Ashton, would prefer to keep a low profile for th next year or so.
I’d be fine if they both just disappeared into the sunset.
Shut up, Meg!!!
Cannot stand them after the Masterson support letter.
I get that they do not “have” to do The Show, but come on. Just throw the fans a bone. Do an episode or two. Or are they too busy protecting their friend and wonderful human being Danny Masterson?
