    Beautiful music
Such beautiful sounds from the classic Japanese instruments, the musicians were incredibly talented and you even learn some history about the songs and instruments!

    AMAZING SHOW!
This is a great show to introduce yourself to Japanese music. I went to a traditional folk concert in South Korea and even tho it was great I didn't understand anything at the end of the show. In this case, the music wasn't 100% traditional but they explained the instruments, their use, how they work, and played pieces that a person from the West can digest. If you are a connoisseur of Japanese folk music this show is not for you.

    Something unique
I was looking for a more traditional Japan activity and came across this. To my luck one of their shows lined up with my trip. The show was a good mix of entertaining music and historical education on the instruments. I enjoyed it thoroughly and would recommend it to anyone looking for something unique to do while in Tokyo.

    Love Japanese traditional music!
This is the best way to experience traditional Japanese music. They were not only performing music professionally but also introducing the history and characters of each instrument.

    MUST see for Tokyo visits
Summary: Amazing experience!! Wholeheartedly recommend. In a bit more detail: We booked the Zakuro Show when we were planning all of our Tokyo activities of our Japan trip and I am so so happy that we did. The show only takes one hour (sadly), but it is filled to the brim with interesting information (e.g. origin of the various instruments, how they are played, what kind of sounds they’re able to make) and breathtakingly beautiful music - we left there wanting more. At the time of seeing the show (I say that because I could honestly see them playing in front of huge crowds - they’re that good!), the show was organised in a relatively small venue (15-20 seats), but I personally think that added to the experience. Nothing but respect and thanks to everyone involved for a lovely intro to the world of traditional Japanese music <3.

    Beautiful music and interesting experience
Excellent experience! The music was beautiful. And there were explanations about the musical instruments and tunes between the performances. Thanks to the translator, you can understand everything even if you don`t speak Japanese.

    Wonderful experience
It was a wonderful concert and experience! It was really a pleasure to hear the misic and to know about japanese traditional music instruments. Moreover, the performera wear traditional kimono, so the scene in general is very beautiful. The hall is not big, so you can watch the artists and instrument right before your eyes.

    LIVE Traditional Japanese Music
A wonderful exploration of traditional Japanese music culture. Found through a Google search when looking for live, traditional music (there were not a lot of other hits). Small venue (which is awesome) that lets you be right up on musicians. Excellent segues into each of the pieces, in which the musician explains the origins of their instrument (mostly thru excellent English interpretation). Was smiling and sitting on the edge of my chair the entire performance.

    Unforgettable experience
One of the best things we did in our Japan's trip. Absolutely amazing music. We were so happy about the show that we also bought a cd from them and took photos with the artists. Do not miss this or you will regret it.

The performance was excellent, real traditional music, with a lot of explanations about instruments and songs. A very good translator for English was present. The musicians are amazing, a unique experience of Japanese culture through music. We would like to thank very much to the musicians organisers and to the translator. You offered us a beautiful evening. Totally recommend to anyone who is visiting Tokyo.

Perhaps, unlike many other visitors to this show, I was the only one who isn't a casual tourist, but a Tokyo's resident. Yet, it was my first time experiencing traditional Japanese music instruments live. And what's more, it was happening within arm's reach, right in front of me.
I must say that the show not only met my expectations (I've read couple of reviews before going), but exceeded them! No reviews or videos on the Internet can convey how great it is live! The skill of musicians is undeniable, their fingers fly over the instruments, and their facial expressions are mesmerising - they are so passionately giving themselves to music that you too become captivated.
I was also glad to learn that this is not just a musical, but also an educational show. Especially if this is your first encounter with such music (as it was in my case), it's great to understand what kind of song is being performed, why specifically these instruments are being used, and what exactly the musicians are doing to extract the sound from their instruments! Amazing!
I wish I could've stayed for the second show of the evening!
Will definitely go again and recommend to everyone I know!

Very nice and one of a kind experience in a smaller and very intimate setting, it is definitely a must do on your trip to Japan. The performance was amazing and the explanations of the different songs and instruments used between the songs were very nice to hear and quite interesting. The explanations are given in both Japanese and English so everyone will be able to understand it and appreciate it. Make sure to go and give some love to these amazing performers!

this is a terrific chamber concert! you sit close to musicians and listening a mixed traditional Japanese music and covers modern songs.(Nirvana and Marry Christmas Mr . Laurence 💔 in my heart for ever) Atmosphere is so warm and friendly, and i wanted dancing, but the hall was full.
it's a magical experience!
Also you can see instruments and talking with musicians in a break.
The concert host and musicians talk about instruments, music and other things in 2 languages - English and Japanese.
I want to visit this show in my next time in Japan.
If you will be in Tokyo, this show is must listen!

This was a wonderful evening. The musicians are very talented and played a number of pieces, including an interpretation of a modern song which was good fun! The musicians also explained about their instruments which was interesting and the translator was excellent. Their traditional clothing was also beautiful. I would thoroughly recommend this. It was a wonderful experience for myself and my husband as part of our honeymoon.

I was looking for a cultural experience while planning for my family trip and decided to see Zakuro show based on excellent reviews. The show won our hearts. They were able to recreate through their instruments and voice the uniqueness of traditional Japanese music. Each piece was played elaborately and beautifully. The selection of the pieces was well-thought. I believe that anyone listening who had never shown any interest in Japanese instrumental music would most likely change their minds after the show. They gave a very impressive performance. The most moving and captivation feature of the show are interactions and setting that allows to fully immerse yourself into a world of traditional music. Each piece flowed and moved every listener in the hall. The entire show was very riveting and enjoyable. I am sure that every person who attended the performance will be looking forward to an opportunity to see it again. I definitely do!

Such a refreshing and enjoyable show! The musicians were exquisite and the music was full of colour. We learned about some traditional Japanese instruments and the small venue made the whole experience warm and kind. This is a must see when travelling to Japan.

Great experience! The music was beautifully performed and we got to learn about the instruments and the music they were playing. I would pay more for a longer show so they could play longer pieces, if they ever did that.
