Evening Cleaner

ACS International School Egham is recruiting a part time, evening Cleaner to join the team.

The cleaner will ensure that the school buildings are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. Buildings include but not limited to residential boarding house, sports centre, classrooms, laboratories, offices, and communal areas such as stairs, corridors and landings.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure all work is carried out in a cost effective and competent manner and to the required quality standard Effective communication with all internal and external customers
  • Carry out visual inspection only of power machinery and portable equipment prior to use.
  • Faults should be reported immediately to the Cleaning Supervisor Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations and the use of Personal Protective Equipment where appropriate
  • Ensure adequate provision of warning notices are provided when carrying out cleaning operations Where designated, ‘lone worker’ procedures should be adhered to with regard to contact
  • Be aware of Emergency Procedures and location of First Aid equipment
  • Be aware of risk Assessments associated with their activities.
  • Observe compliance with Health and Safety legislation when carrying out duties particularly with regard to Manual Handling Any other duties requested by the Cleaning Supervisor and or Caretaking Manager

The post holder will be expected to assist in other duties within the department as necessary, in particular, at times of heavy workload, sickness and staff absences commensurate with the post holders level of responsibility.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience of cleaning within a school environment is highly desired
  • Knowledge of COSHH, Manual Handling and general Health and Safety legislation.
  • Experience of cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning equipment.

Start date: ASAP

Working Hours: 5pm- 9pm Monday- Friday. This will be an all year, 52 week, permanent contract.

Maths Teacher

The Maths Teacher will be required for a one year contract initially with the potential for extension.

Cleaning Manager

ACS International Schools is seeking a Cleaning Manager to join our team at ACS Egham.

The role of the Cleaning Manager requires robust management of the cleaning teams to ensure to ensure that the school buildings are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and that efficient caretaking services are provided to meet the schools’ requirements.

The post holder will be expected to assist in other duties within the department as necessary, in particular, at times of heavy workload, sickness and staff absences commensurate with the post holders’ level of responsibility.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Strong leadership skills and experience of managing cleaning teams across a diverse estate.
  • Knowledge of COSHH, Manual Handling and general Health and Safety legislation.
  • Experience of cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning equipment.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • Ability to motivate staff and encourage a culture of continual improvement.

Working hours: Monday- Friday 3pm-10.30pm, 35 hour per week. This is a permanent, all year round role.
