Arranger: Kelly Price. On her fourth album, R&B siren Kelly Price continues to seamlessly meld pop, funk, hip-hop, and R&B. After a brief intro, she comes out swinging with a state-of-things tune ("Someday") that stands as a vow to make one's way against all odds. Shifting to a more romantic perspective, "You Make Me Feel" perfectly captures that start-of-the-affair giddiness, and its popwise melodiousnes

I have been waiting for this album for a while, and a record store in Pensacola, Fl has my reserve copy money for this album dating back to August 2002 (lol). So, I was hoping that I wasn't saving up my interest for nothing.
"Priceless" is a very good album. I wouldn't say that it's her best, but Kelly gives us her unmistakeable range and voice quality, that is comparable to the likes of Aretha, Patti, and Chaka, among others. Ms. Price will definitely be an artist we will speak of twenty years from now.
The uptempo cut "Take It to the Head", featuring a nice rap by Keith Murray, makes you bob your head and want to sing along. Lovely! "Someday", another uptempo song, has a nice moral message, telling people to keep your head up regardless of your circumstances. A very positive song.
If Ms. Price is known for anything, it's definitely her voice, and there are so many songs that showcase them lovely. "How Does It Feel (Married Your Girl)" is a song with some serious background vocals that soar into the stratosphere. Often times, singers sing off key along with the background, but Kelly holds her own without a shadow of a doubt. "Sister" is a lovely song that Kelly shares with Faith Evans, and they complement each other very well. "I Live Here Now" is another song that definitely shows off Kelly's vocal range. The background harmonies will make you go "wow". "I Still Do" is a beautiful ballad that weaves the story of someone trying to let go of someone that they still love. It's sad but a wonderful listen. "So Sweet" is a sensuous ballad that clearly is an ode to a blooming relationship. "Strong Man (Jeff In C Minor)" is a preachy, strong song that will have you like, humph...lol. It's quite reminiscent of Chante' Moore's "Chante's Got A Man", with the same gusto and strength. Classics! DEFINITELY not to be missed is the last track, "You Brought the Sunshine", with the original artists of the song, the Clark Sisters....this song here!! I play this a lot, because of the strength of the vocals and the intircate harmonies. All I can say is wow!! Just one good listen will have you hooked. The Clark Sisters bring their funk and Kelly gives them the soul. These two definitely complement each other. Just the harmonies alone toward the end of the song are enough!
The only reason why I did not give this album five stars is because of the interludes. They are so corny! "The Pricey Bunch" is irritating, and the "Priceless" interlude is absolutely pointless.
Kelly delivers once again. It really is a shame that this album wasn't received as well as it should have been, but that is not because of Kelly's voice. Stout R&B listeners should definitely have this album in their collection!
