How can college students survive and thrive during the COVID-19 pandemic?

To answer this question, a team of students and faculty at the City University of New York School of Public Health put together an online  guide designed to help college students to get help for problems they encounter related to education, mental  and physical health, health care access, food security, employment, financial aid,  and discrimination.  It also encourages students to become advocates for their own and their peers’ educational, health and social needs.  Written by students for students the Guide to Surviving and Thriving at CUNY is now available.  Although intended specifically for the 270,000 students enrolled at CUNY, the nation’s largest urban public university, much of the information may also be useful to other low-income, Black and Latinx, immigrant and urban college students .  Other campuses and student organizations should feel free to reprint or tailor  relevant sections with citation.
