Booking a flight to Europe is always exciting. Booking a European trip in premium seating and scoring a big discount at the same time is even better.

Scandinavian Airlines, also known as SAS, is slashing prices on premium economy seats — called SAS Plus — for flights all across the continent. This is a wide-ranging sale that includes popular destinations like Brussels, Copenhagen, Helsinki and London. This deal also includes a few cities we don't often see in sales, like Aarhus, Denmark.

We're focusing on the premium economy bargains, but SAS has also discounted many of its SAS Go fares for these European routes. SAS Go is the airline's economy tier, which does come with a free carry-on bag. SAS Plus passengers get a free checked bag with their fare.

We should point out that many flights in this deal have layovers, but there are a few nonstop itineraries that we've spotlighted below.

GOOGLE FLIGHTS

We found the same solid price for a nonstop premium economy fare in December from New York City to Copenhagen.

Planning trips almost a year in advance isn't for everyone, but there are some fares we found in January 2025 in this deal that make the long wait well worth it. For example, we found round-trip flights from Miami to Oslo for $680. That's a really good price for a premium economy seat on this route.

GOOGLE FLIGHTS

November was a good month to find bargains out of Washington, D.C. This round-trip fare from IAD to HEL costs just $679. We found lots of availability at this price in November and December for this route.

Boston to Helsinki is also widely available in November for less than $700 round-trip. This itinerary from Boston includes a stop in Copenhagen each way.

We don't often see flights to Gothenburg, Sweden, in these deals, especially from the U.S. West Coast, but this route caught our eye. There are a number of flights in November and December from Los Angeles to Gothenburg for $767 — a really nice discount for premium economy.

Google Flights estimates that economy tickets for the same route at that time of year typically sell for more than $1,000.

As we told you above, SAS also had some nice markdowns on economy tickets in this sale. Here are a couple we found to Belgium's capital: A late-August round-trip flight from Atlanta to Brussels for only $457.

GOOGLE FLIGHTS

This mid-November ticket to Brussels from Chicago is an even better deal. A round-trip ticket for only $440 is a great price for this route. In fact, Google Flights says this should cost almost $300 more.

Here's one last economy-tier fare to spotlight: This ticket from Miami to Oslo is just $372 round-trip, an absurdly cheap price for this flight.

The caveat is that the itinerary includes a 24-hour layover in Copenhagen on the return flight. However, that just gives you an excuse to plan a daytrip in one of the world's best cities for food and architecture.

Bottom line

The best availability and best prices in this sale are for travel at the end of 2024, with just a few exceptions. But if you want to secure more room for a flight across the pond and enjoy SAS' well-regarded premium service, this is a great deal to take advantage of.
