Jeremiah Trotter Jr was born in Hainesport, NJ to 4x Pro Bowler Jeremiah Trotter and Tammi Trotter. Trotter attended St Joseph’s Preparatory in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. In 2021. Trotter began his college career with the Clemson Tigers where he plays linebacker. As a true freshman, he played in 13 games and finished with 22 tackles and 1 sack. His strong rookie campaign helped him secure a starting spot on the Clemson defense.

 

Jeremiah Trotter played just 59 snaps in 2021, then made 2nd Team AP AA in ’22. That is fewest snaps for a CU player year before making an AA team (excluding Fr. Anthony Simmons and Sammy Watkin). Previous record was 176 snaps by Keith Adams in 1998 before making AA I’m 1999. .

In the 2022 season, Trotter earned second-team All-American by the Associated Press, third-team All-American, and Second Team All- ACC selected by the pro football focus, and second-team All-ACC selected by the college football network and Phil Steele. He also received ACC linebacker of the week after his strong performance against Florida State. Jeremiah received game honors after his breakout performance vs. Miami (FL). During this game, he totaled a team-high 9 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 pass breakup.

Overall, Jeremiah Trotter’s pure athleticism, speed, and football IQ have helped him achieve several awards and accolades. Jeremiah is going into the 2023 season with 114 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, 7 pass breakups, 1 forced fumble, and 1 interception pick-six, for which he returned 35 yards for a touchdown. He also recorded 737 defensive snaps over 27 career games and 14 starts. At Clemson University he is majoring in Financial Management entering his second year. Jeremiah also completed a micro internship with Cisco in the Spring of 2022.
