Shindig Festival has made a poignant announcement, declaring that this year’s edition will mark its grand finale.
A Bittersweet Goodbye
Annually at Dillington Estate in Ilminster, Somerset, the festival celebrates its 10th and final year in May.
In a candid statement, organizers attributed this decision to the “challenging landscape” confronting the events sector, citing factors such as deferred ticket purchases and a notable absence of governmental backing.

Will Lardner, representing Shindig Productions, articulated the rationale behind this resolution, asserting, “We prefer to bid adieu on our own terms rather than compromise the essence of our creation.”

In addition to musical showcases, attendees can immerse themselves in a myriad of delights including circus spectacles, artisan crafts, holistic therapies, and comedic performances.

In a prior announcement in February, organizers hinted at a prospective relocation away from Dillington Estate.
However, Monday saw the revelation that this installment shall indeed serve as the festival’s swan song.
Mr. Lardner expressed poignantly, “While we are undeniably somber to bid adieu to Shindig Festival, let us ensure that this final rendezvous is etched into memory.”
