CBS renewed The Equalizer for its fifth season before the fourth had even finished airing.
Though the decision seems like a no-brainer, it took a little while for CBS to finally decide to renew The Equalizer for its fifth season. The decision came in late April 2024, not long after shows like CSI: Vegas and So Help Me Todd were axed despite their strong viewership. Having already punched the tickets of several other action-oriented procedurals, CBS renewed The Equalizer for its fifth season before the fourth had even finished airing.
The Equalizer season 4 currently airs Sundays at 8 pm ET on CBS.

Because season 4 isn't completed yet, it's impossible to say exactly what will happen in the story of The Equalizer season 5.
