During my time at UCLA, I immersed myself in the study of History, exploring epochs, cultures, and civilizations. From ancient empires to modern revolutions, I delved into narratives, analyzing perspectives and uncovering historical truths. Engaging in vibrant discussions and research, I honed my analytical skills and deepened my understanding of human societies. The program's interdisciplinary approach enriched my learning experience, offering diverse perspectives and methodologies. The best parts were the passionate faculty, access to archival resources, and the camaraderie among fellow history enthusiasts. Yet, balancing coursework and research demands sometimes proved challenging, and navigating through complex historical narratives required perseverance. Overall, UCLA's History program provided an intellectually stimulating journey, equipping me with invaluable insights into the past.
The social science program is wonderful. The program prepares me for research-related careers in the future. They also provide me with workshops such as building my resume and networking in order to prepare for a research oriented career. There is no worst part of this program, as I thoroughly enjoy everything about it.
